I'm sure any good quality USB C cable from Anker/ravpower etc.. will do the same job. Unless you want to give into the overpriced apple ecosystem

Unfortunately not. Anker/Ravpower/Aukey currently do not have any USB C to lightning cables on their product line up, I echo OP that you need an Apple cable for fast charging unfortunately. There are many third party USB C to lightning cables on Amazon but all reviews state they do not support usb delivery fast charge.

Yeh I’ve been looking at that one. Initial reviews appear to be fake, then one of the verified purchases reviewer states that it is not a fast charging cable - have you a volt meter to test? I’m just curious as it is cheap and would be a great alternative to Apples own.

Only 36W, may not be enough if you intend to use this to charge a laptop.

No sorry I have no meter to check. However I have both Apple and this cable. There is a difference, but I would say it charges 40% in 30 minutes. I would agree that it’s best to buy the genuine Apple cable. This charger would at least ease the combined cost

on Ebay “genuine” cables are advertised from Uk sellers for £9.99. Is it worth the punt ?

I agree, but then again this works on other devices. Apple really annoyed people with this approach. However it is what it is.......
will fast charge wear out the battery quicker?
I purchased a USB-C cable ebay for £12.99 and didn’t work, be careful! Bought from Currys and no problem works perfect and fast charges IPhone X

Not really. Only if you keep charging your device passed 80% all the time.

Keep your battery between 20-80% for optimal lifespan.
PD will this work as a replacement switch charger that enables TV mode?

I bought one at the start of the week, just arrived this morning. The 36W charges my MBP 13 no problem although yes it's a little slower but for the price it's certainly a good spare to have or one you can keep in a different room or at the office etc. The fact that it also charges my Pixel is an added benefit.

I agree. wish this site was used as its supposed too. funny you only see the trolls on apple related deals. Do people that buy apple have better things to do than troll android users?

Yes I also have this cable along with a black 30w wall charger that does charge my iPhone X from empty to 51% in 30 minutes so it’s genuine for me
Wasn't trolling just stating would've been nice to get the cable included without spending out again. I don't think trolls target Apple users I just think they're over sensitive.
Big warning to everyone, be careful because a lot of these reviews seem fake! fakespot.com/pro…ack

Apple haven't yet licensed Lightning to USB Cable, so it doesn't officially support fast charging on iOS devices.
Quite often is "in offer" at £12.99. I bought it last time with the 2x usb-c cables at 80% disccount offer.

I use it to charge my Lenovo Yoga 720 and it works great. Much smaller than the included adapter, less cables so I'm happy with it.

One note, although it says 36W the usb-c is maxed at 30w. 36w is combined wattage

Excuse my ignorance. Does this support qc 3.0 then?
Will this charge a nintendo switch using a usb c cable? I have a usb c cable but it doesn't charge the switch when plugged into an iphone adapter
Charges my coolfire ultra and smok stick fine
Wait, this can charge an XPS 15? I thought it would require a higher output?
Also it charges fast and can charge up to two devices at the same time, that's amazing.

Check in the specs, 30w was enough for my Lenovo yoga 720
Does anyone know if this would charge an ASUS Transformer 3 Pro T303UA? Or how I can check?
Thanks!
