The error has been corrected now. You should be taken to the right product if you click the link. Thanks.

BTW is there a better deal available for Ray Ban sunglasses? Wonder why it's been voted cold!!

Thanks - I added some heat.

Anybody know of any good deals on the aviators?

have some heat - wondering if i should go for these - bit skint at the mo

i dont know if these will be any good, i really need a pair of sunglasses, just doesn't seem right to spend £50 though

Don't look worth 50 quid to me, just bit of plastic

Is this online only?

they dont even look like proper traditional raybans ... not worth £50 imho

These are definitely Ray Bans. I realise they are expensive but they are amongst the best sunglasses available. Although he doesn't sell sunglasses an optician friend says you can't do better. I had hoped that when the Italians took charge they might 'modernise' the range. They have to a certain extent but I think there is room for improvement. The difference when wearing them is incredible. I would buy another pair but a few months ago got a bargain in the States. They are red hot at this price.

Ugly compared to the wayfarer.

£50 for the Raybans...Bargin!

Thanks

do these include prescription lenses or is it £50+ quid for plastic frames?

anyone know why AF20 only gives me £14 off?

PC03

anyone know why AF20 only gives me £14 off?

£14 is 20% of £70....

anyone know why AF20 only gives me £14 off?

Of course... I read it as £20 off rather than 20%. cheers

You would be cheaper just writing chav on you head with black marker

nice price but if your going raybans its gotta be wayfare or aviators for me anyway

yok0ross

Definitely wont include prescription lenses.
I'd advise you get a quote for prescription lenses supplied and fitted before buying. My Oakleys were nearly £300 with prescription lenses ... although they are very nice !!

Your "friend," if they exist, is talking out of their butt hole. Asking an optician about sunglasses is about as much use as asking them which car to buy or which airline is best.

£50 sunglasses are a fashion accessory. Nothing more, nothing less. They all cost less than £5 to make. Perhaps £10 if you believe they do the R&D they claim they do (ha ha). I'd say they spend more on advertising than on actual product creation or development.

and your point is?

Most products cost like a tiny fraction of what they sell to make - such a narrow minded view. Especially with fashion products.

Cheers op, bagged myself some Oakleys and saved £20. Heat added.

I won two pairs of the Rayban Wayfare sunglasses in a prize draw about 20 years ago, a black pair and a brown pair, gave the black ones to my brother and I kept the brown ones. Think I still have them
Gonna look!
Not sure if the style would suit today though Heat for the memory

You can definitely tell the difference in quality between sunglasses like these and cheapish sunglasses sold for £20 or so.

But I can understand why people want to pretend that you're only paying for a brand and wanting to believe that their cheap £5 sunglasses are just as good as Raybans.

Having said that comparing Raybans to something like Armani there appears to be a big gap in quality and I believe that with those you're paying quite a bit for the label.

Having got a few pairs of sunglasses my favourites are the Ray Bans and in my experience they are well made (much more solid than my Police sunglasses). Heat added and thanks for posting.

find me some cheap aviators please

Anyone know what the receipt says when it comes? I can claim through a contributory healthcare scheme but only prescription. Some receipts are ambiguous and allow you to claim for non-prescription sunglasses.

Quidco link for visually impaired (not that it will help as they need prescription sunnies).

"Not currently available for sale" ?

I think my sunglasses deal is better than this one.

Unclegeorge

You don't even know what a chav is you gormless moron

Good sunglasses cost - End of story. In terms of optical quality / durability the top dogs are Ray Ban, Oakley and Maui Jim. The first two are produced by the same parent company, Luxottica.

The market dictates the price of these goods. Many thousands of people are willing to seperate with £200+ for a pair of decent sunglasses and for good reason. If you are not one of these people fine, but don't make silly claims "like my £20 pair are just as good and they cost £2 to make" because they are not and they dont - you are only deluding yourself.

On the topic of fasion sunglasses, they are very similar in nature to fashion watches. They look great but in reality they are never quite as good as the sector specfic market leaders - would you choose a Gucci over a Rolex? Same deal with shades. No matter what people might think - fashion sunglasses (Police etc...) don't stack up to the top 3.

20% is a nice find my grab myself a new pair of driving shades.

Expired. Sold out. Good deal if you got it.

Had a major, major, major stack while snowboarding last year. Tumbled 800m down a black run, lost bits of my binding, ripped bits of my backpack, Helmet ended up 10m from my head.

My Oakley's stayed in one piece firmly attached to my head. 10/10, well worth the cash from that alone.

I know this deal has expired but I have to comment.
After spending most of my life wasting money on cheap sunnies I finally bit the bullet and coughed up £100 for a pair of RayBans 7 years ago.
I have never regretted it. They are great. They are robust, comfortable and just top quality. They are great looking and after all these years they are neither out of fashion nor past their best.

If people can't afford that kind of money then it's silly spending it but there does seem to be some envy from some. Quality is quality and sometimes you have to pay for it.

I wish I brought a pair, they look nice and need sunglasses desperate...anyone got any tips...hopefully they go back in stock soon i'd pay £50 odd for a decent pair that look nice

Damn missed this deal

Mine arrived today, they are way to tight the arms realy dig into the sides of my head making them very uncomfortable. These are more for a childs head size not an adult.
