So I have plenty of pairs available whenever I need them - one to two in the car, couple in the kitchen, at work etc. I don’t give a stuff if I loose a pair, drop a pair, a pair get damaged etc.

£62 sunglasses!
What a time to be alive!
I am looking for a few pair of sunnies but not at that price. I like some of the police branded shades, or the style anyway but can't find unbranded versions of those.

Anyone know any websites that do unbranded sunnies sites?
Once upon a time, these were made by Bausch and Lomb. The lenses were glass G15 lenses that were excellent (if a little weighty - being glass). Used by aviators, and anyone sho needed to see in bright light, or who merely valued their eyes.
Now they're mass produced plastic lenses, made to cash in on their name by Luxottica in Italy.
£65 Is a lot. If you want quality go for Maui Jim (will cost 3x as much). If not then the £2 ones at Primani might as well do.
I used to be a cheap sunglasses buyer/wearer, happy to get through a couple of pairs a year because I lose them and leave them everywhere or the screws come loose and fall out (the screws always came out!). My wife bought me a pair of Ray Bans for my birthday a few years ago and I’m sold on them. I don’t lose them because I care about them, the screws don’t come loose because they’re well made and sturdy, and the clarity of the lenses are like night and day compared to cheap ones (or a clear night and a very foggy night).

Yea luxottica have a monopoly on the entire industry nearly. they own so many stores and make sunglasses for most brands. I had a pair of Wayfarers i bought a while ago from a deal on here and the lenses would get scratched easily. I also ended up buying a replica pair from china which were of the same quality if not better for 1/5 the retail price even with UV protection. I agree the £2 primark sunglasses are a much better value for money if you dont care about branding
Not polarised... meh! Haha

They provide 100% UV protection and they're sturdy not going to fall apart, the lenses are really good provide full colour through them idk if normal primark glasses do them.

Lot of comments like this which I find quite bizarre. I’ve had a pair of Ray Bans for 6 years now which I have hammered every year, going away peobably minimum of 3 items a year, and wearing whenever british weather allows, they aren’t scratched to hell, didn’t fall apart, still great condition. If you think a pair made in the 80s weren’t mass produced and were hand made by an artisan then you’re incredibly naive. Mass production is a far earlier innovation than that.

To plan for when these eventually break or I lose them I have tried many on in shops and tried a lot of cheap knockoffs from eBay and Ali, these have all been very low quality and don’t have the same look or feel, which makes me wonder those saying they got an ‘identical’ pair either have no eyes or have never actually had a real pair to compare it with

Even the direct fakes available in places I’ve been to like Philippines, Bulgaria and China might look like ray bans but are much lighter and more pliable, lenses feel different and don’t have the rigidity/tension of a pair of wayfarers.

I almost wish you could get an identical pair on the cheap as I could load up on a few pairs.
Tried on the justin ones in sunglasses hut the other day and thought I’d wait until I saw a deal come up. They were £115 just bought for £68 cheers op
Tbh, I just buy fake ones from China. Look exactly the same, with branding, but are £5. The official ones will obviously be better, but I constantly lose or sit on my sunglasses.

Init these cheapskate sunnies are pants. Always break. I have a pair of the tortoiseshell foldable wayfarers. So happy with them and very über chic.
