Love the "80 million keystroke life span". How can they tell? Is there … Love the "80 million keystroke life span". How can they tell? Is there some bloke in Thailand who's spend the last five years tapping away on the letter "s" until it breaks?

In case that's a serious question: they usually have machines press them at an insanely fast rate as part of their R&D and QA.

Good spot, this is also available from Amazon UK for the same price, for those that prefer Amazon..

Isn't this the same deal posted a little earlier (11 hours ago) which has gone cold?

Semi-serious! My point was "machines press them at an insanely fast rate" is in no way an accurate measure of real world use, to the point that the figure is meaningless. Even at 1000 presses every day, it's claiming a 220 years lifespan! It's just silly that's all.

Wonder what Razer green switches are like? Unfortunately I couldn't justify it, even at this price. I'll stay with my £20 Outemu Blue Havit RGB German keyboard!

Wish there was a way I could road-test the different switches....I like the feel of these Blues but hate the racket they make!

I believe the idea is that if it can last under those conditions then under normal use conditions it would last longer. Basically something that sounds insane to someone and another reason to push them to buying it

Its not meaningless, first you can use it as comparison between different keyboard, for example if this keyboard break at 80mil press, but average keyboard take 120mil plus then you can see there is a problem with durability. and if it taken 80mil machine press, then you can be confidence its not going break in 40 million press in real world and its arguable super fast machine pressed is more damaging than human key press. bottom line is it give a great indication of the items durability. If this is meaningless, company like samsung/dyson etc wont spend millions and millions on test like there

Slightly heavier than cherry MX blues and so clicky.

Any good mouse deals to go along with this?

Why dont have option for US layout , as the razerzone official site .Doesnt matter which region you choose always has an option for US Nordic UK .. etc.

That's great but is that same as withstanding excessive pressure placed on keys? I have a tendency to push the "W" key to the max when playing FPS games, as a result the keys on my Steelseries Apex are now at breaking point.

Maybe goes under the average user lol although I used to play starcraft years ago and destroyed my S and D keys lol

I've had this keyboard for about a year, very happy with it. Really bright lighting too.

Anyone playing an fps for 3 hours a day would more likely be hitting about 10000 presses
