If you can show me one I'm all ears!
The big killer is dual core. That's really going to stop you making decent use of 16GB RAM. I have an admittedly slightly older i7 5500u and it's too slow for photo/video editing.

The quad core is a much better balanced product however the price is far less attractive.

Cheap for Razer. Shame about the processor because the rest of the spec looks really good.
The i78550u is available but it is £999

The stealth isn't made for gaming, despite the brand.
It's a great screen, and spec for the price. Not much comparable that has a UHD touchscreen at this price?

Ah apologies, didn't realise. I saw Razer and just automatically assumed it was intended to be a gaming laptop

Yeh they are branching out a bit. This is basically their ultrabook for work stuff. All about size, weight and battery life.

Doubt it, i think it is probably overkill for this size of screen anyway but if you want UHD i can't see you beating this price very easily. Not with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD
This isn't UHD btw, it is 3200x1800

Edited! It's QHD+
This isn't a bad price at all. 16GB Ram and a 1TB SSD in a good solid build quality and they are very good screens is very very nice. Also to have a full sized HDMI port and Thunderbolt 3 all for under £1000 is fantastic value.

I currently have an i5-6500u with 8GB ram atm and its fine for Lightroom and Photoshop, but I've bought the Razer for a bit of a production boost. Not planning on any heavy video editing mind, that would be pushing it

This was marketed as an ultra book for portable use, which could then be connected to one of their off-board graphics boxes, for desktop gaming. Hence flexible usage. It has only been in more recent models that they started adding mobile graphics cards.
So many pixels, so little CPU and GPU muscle to push them.

And such a small display for them pixels to be appreciated fully. If you're after battery life and have a dual core processor in, why any company opts for anything above full HD is beyond me.

It’s very similar in design to a MacBook Pro, just all black in colour. Do the ultrabooks have the Thunderbolt ports for an eGPU? I think that’s how they get round the integrated graphics - maybe that’s just the newer ones.

Nicely built machines, I got one last year from a Warehouse deal but sold it - I heard Razer customer support is atrocious though.
Weird, click link and price shows as £749.99 but when adding to basket it changes to £999.99?

The dual core i7 is £749.99, and the quad core i7 is £999.99... there’s an option when you’re adding to basket which processor option you’d like to choose, hope that helps!

I’d say 4K would be too much, but QHD+ is a happy medium for me as a photographer who uses laptops for editing. The battery life is 8 hours with moderate use, which is about what you’d expect, but I’m happy with that
Cold. Way overpriced for the spec. Junk.

It would be difficult to find better spec for the price. But I would say at the original price it was overpriced.
Tried using the StudentBeans 5% off code and unfortunately the price reverts back to £1800

Yes, I did take a look. Couldn't find a single laptop with the same specs for less. It would be helpful to all of us to give us an example. Brand new only of course.

The only machine that might get close is the upper-end Dell XPS 13 9360 with QHD+ panel but probably not at this price and discontinued now.
