Decent price drop (rrp. £99.99) on this which is rarely discounted. Well reviewed webcam that excels in low light conditions thanks to the adjustable light ring.

Also Microphone available for £49.99 here Razer Seiren X USB Digital Microphone and Headphone Amplifier amazon.co.uk/dp/…KKJ

The logitech C920 seems to be an excellent webcam that a lot of people start off with, and they can be found for £25 when on sale (black friday)

Bare in mind the mic in a webcam wont be great, but it might do to start him off. I'm using a Neewer XLR microphone with a Behringer UMC22 interface which all can be had for around £50 and would give him a professional Youtube feel and look for cheap.

I'd buy him the c920 webcam and the Blue Yeti Mic, was my entry level YouTube setup and it was brilliant for the money.
