Just got these from Amazon at previous price of £66.18
I did try to do a fair amount of research before purchase and also had some friends who own these and the Krakens are generally highly thought of.
I was coming from a set of Turtle Beach XO Seven Pro’s which had been really good except for the build quality and comfort. The Kraken TE is a lot better on both of those.
Sadly, I am a bit disappointed with the sound quality. It is very bass orientated and doesn’t seem to deal with the higher end too well. It also doesn’t feed as much of your own voice back to you which I always found helped with chat. It is perfectly good for multiplayer games but if you are just using them to be more immersed in a game then they’re not quite as good.
Other thing that’s good to know is that the 7.1 and the USB adapter is not supported on consoles, just on PC.
Sorry for the long comment but I know I would’ve found this info useful before I bought.
Of course these are just my opinions and my friends are happy with theirs and I am generally happy with them

Decent headset for the money....I went for the Corsair hs60 pro a couple of weeks bk at £55 on Amazon, now £65. Choose the Corsair as microphone supposed to be better but little difference otherwise.

I have packed up my hs70s bought for 62 quid awaiting return... they were the most uncomfortable things ive ever put on my head!
Just bought. Thanks!
I have been doing quite a lot of research as of late and keep coming to the same conclusion. The best gaming headset isn't a gaming headset.

The best setup is a pair of headphones, separate mic and/or a DAC/AMP. This setup not only gives you better sound but also the most versatility as you can also use the headphones for listening to music and watching movies.

Also if you already own a decent set of headphones then its going to be even cheaper.

I have just ordered some status audio CB-1 headphones.

Here are some recommendations from my research if your interested.

Headphones (Some of these are open back)
Status Audion CB-1 (Order direct from Status for cheapest price using code WELCOME10 for 1st order)
Superlux HD668B
Samson SR850
AKG 240
Audio Technica ATH-M40X
Philips Fidelio X2HR

MIC
Cable Boom Mic (Amazon)
V-Moda BoomPro
Modmic

DAC/AMP (optional) - This is recommended even with your existing setup as it supposedly makes a big improvement
Creative G3

As previously mentioned I have just ordered the Status CB-1 and am going to use an inline mic. I'll be looking to order the G3 later.

Let me know what you think and have any of you had any experience with this type of setup.
Checked out a few YouTube reviews about these, looks like there's No swivel adjustment on ear cups, for those of us with massive melons these won't be comfortable
Excellent find @CallumRM92

So my question is, will they then be 5.1 with PlayStation ? And if so is that still good enough

I'm not entirely sure. I found a post on Reddit stating that on PS4 these only support 2.0 audio. Hope that helps
I don’t get it, most reviews of these have them rated No1 ps4 headset under £100. If they’re only 2.0 what makes them stand out above anything else
Thanks just ordered these are meant to be the best for gaming for under £100.
Ordered 🔥
£60.10 now !
I've already got decent headphones (Shure srh840) but they're heavy, and more importantly I'd like a mic that's sensitive and decent enough - I don't want to wake my kid up at night, who's in the room next to me. Any ideas..?

Watched a youtube video and yep it's 5.1 through the 3.5mm jack for ps4. Should be good enough

My bad I think it is 2.0 sound only through PS4 according to reviews. But 7.1 with PC using software.

What's the difference with the TE edition?
It'll mostly be used for switch and a bit of Ps4, daughter wants a pink pair but TE is only available in black
I think the TE is better for PC as it can use all it's features if it's just console your probably better going for the cheaper version
for ps4 7.1 surround sound your probably better off going for these @ £54 limited time only amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
Doesn’t work with TLOU on PS4
