One of the best controllers for FPS great for small hands unlike the Nacon which the kids found difficult to use the left stick. So well suited for the Trumps out there. Also had a scuff that gave up the ghost in a few weeks.
You also get a £10 voucher to spend on other stuff.

Seems a silly amount of money for any controller if you ask me.

So is it worth this is anything close?

This controller is amazing and almost good as a scuff. But better in build quality then Scuff. Not for the average Joe but the serious Gamer and competition level.

I understand its high quality but surely the manufacturing cost cant cost more than £20. so why is it so expensive?

Because people pay it.

lol

You can pick up the console fora similar amount

I agree with the over priced part. Also think that DS4 is even better. The main question is though is this a deal and that answers is yes. It's the cheapest I could find. Not for me but some one might want one and have money for days.

If your going to spend that amount of money buy a Scuff. A no brainer really.

This argument pops up regularly on this site, being a deals site, and personally, I'm of the opinion that just because something is found at the cheapest price, it doesn't automatically make it good value for money, or 'a good deal'. You have said that you agree that it is overpriced, but also say you think it's a good deal. It can't be both.

£140 for just a controller
What's the catch

Thing is, this is not supposed to be a site based on personal preference. It's a site about a product and whether that product is a good deal based on the price it costs everywhere else/RRP/normal cost for someone who is looking to buy one. There's loads of stuff I'm not into but don't mind others posting them and wouldn't vote them cold just because 'I' think their not worth it when clearly you can't get it cheaper anywhere else. This site has to have opportunities for everyone or it wouldn't work.

Seems expensive also wired, Xbox owners get the quality elite controller that's wireless and also cheaper now.

My opinion it's overpriced, but over RRP is a deal. If some one wants it that doesn't share my opinion then this is a deal. With the cold votes they might not ever see it. Tons of deals, I don't need alot of them should I start voting cold because it is waste of money for me. I don't want a Xbox one, no deal is cheap enough should I vote cold on all deals. Answer hell no. There is people out there that have different opinions than my own. By voting on a product if it is the cheapest or not by passing my own bias opinion getting in the way should make a fare no bias vote. I can use the chat to tell you guy/girls my opinion. Anyway you can choice to vote however you like. I will be voting if it is or isn't the cheapest found.

As someone who owns the controller, I don't personally think it's worth £140. I got it in the 50% off sale Razer does every year, which made it £75 I think, and I was pretty happy with that price. I'm not sure it's worth over a £100 though.

On the controller itself though, think it's fantastic assuming you don't need to use the d-pad for anything (the d-pad is just 4 individual buttons which makes it useless for fighting games). It feels good to hold, I like the rubber grips on the sticks, the face buttons have a nice click to them, and there's extra buttons which are very easy to assign to as you're playing.

Besides the d-pad my main qualm is the PC support. The x-input converter razer does in their driver is absolutely rubbish, It doesn't get detected by Windows Store games, the rumble doesn't work, nor can you use the touchpad for anything. Fortunately that's fixable with some tinkering. There's some instructions on the razer site to disable the x-input, and from there you can either just use the Steam conversion, or install a custom version of DS4Windows someone made for the Raiju. The latter of which does allow the controller to be used with Windows Store games, like Forza.

I disagree, and think that whether someone actually thinks something is worth the posted price is exactly what this site is about, hence the voting system. There are dozens of other sites that just compare prices and nothing else that could be used instead of this one, if that is what you want.

You could just use a price comparison website for this. The fact that this site employs a voting system suggests it's not just about RRP, which, lets face it, can be ridiculous at times. I look at it like this:
Product A has an RRP of £150, but is reduced to £100, a hefty saving you might think.
Product B has an RRP of £50, does the same job as product A, but is proven to be made from better quality materials, works better and looks better, and comes with better product support and a longer warranty.
Is product A a good deal at £100?
I would say no, and I will often see the voting and comments in a thread as an indication of this, which will prevent me from buying rubbish, regardless of how much below RRP it may be.

But what if a person really wanted/needed A, he wouldn't have a clue if it was a good deal or not. Or what about all the fanboys etc who just vote cold because they don't like what the product is? I don't like certain things but I'm not gonna vote a deal on them down. Also by RRP I meant the going price not the one a factory sets as they are often way off the mark.

Oh and people sometimes see impulse deals on here so a price comparison website wouldn't work in that respect, sometimes you don't know you wanted something until you see a great deal on it.

I agree with you on this item (and get where your coming from). The Nacon Pro 2 is out now and will be even cheaper in a month or so making this look even worse. I voted based on price though which is still good, therefore a deal.

If this was wireless I'd probably think about it but I don't want to have a 3m cable across the room
