Cold????? Maybe not everyones choice, but best price anywhere for it... even 2nd hand they are going for £250

I bought one of these for the nephew and he loves it (as do the adults!), they're serviceable and upgradable through forums. Think of it as an actual mini Go Kart you take to tracks. Its built to that kind of spec.
People stick 24-36v Lipo batteries in, electronic mods etc to make them go faster- essentially same gizmos as electric scooter but with 4 wheels and can drift. Think these will last for years and years so long as they still like to play it.

Theres the cheapo plastic version hovering around £200 but I wouldn't recommend those, not the same stuff at all.
