The Gyro Mini X Helicopter: taking remote control flying to new heights.

The super cool RC Helicopter Gyro Mini X is just about the smallest remote control helicopter on the market. With a 3.5 channel control system, and an auto balance design it really is the perfect vehicle for piloting when you lack space or if you are a first time flyer.

Unlike previous generations of two channel helicopters, the 3.5 channel system means that the helicopter can be flown under complete control, and piloted forwards and backwards, as well as up and down and left and right with the minimum of effort.
With an auto-balance system, this tiny helicopter is super stable and goes exactly where you want it to. It includes the ultimate in precision control and handling and has the kind of features you would usually expect to find on bigger RC helicopters.

This is a big idea in a small package

So you put a link to a video posted in 2006.....the Falcon can fly up side down and loop-the-loop and lots of other 3D stunts. Later versions like the Mini pred and lots of others are just generics of the Falcon.

I take it these are these good for the price? What battery's do they take and how long do they last?

Helicopter battery: 3.7v 70mAh Rechargeable lithium polymer battery
Charging Time: 15-20 minutes

OK thanks - and I see the controller takes 6x AA's.

Is this one better than this? play.com/Gad…tml

They have the larger versions of these in Costco at the moment - about £50 for medium sizeand £100 for large. They were demonstrating them in the shop and look brilliant.

If you don't mind paying a few extra quid then the syma S107 is available from UK retailers and is very similar to the ebay one and parts are readily available. Therre are plenty of threads about it on RC forums.

Yes I know it's old, I've just always wanted an Airwolf helicopter.

Aw no not another helipcopter thread. :pI looked at this last week and thought it would be a great idea for son and hubby, however I started looking round for something bigger and have now settled on a Esky Big Lama. I also think i'm going to buy a helicam. They seem very addictive!

The Big lama is a nice copter, but if you are a beginner then your better of with a cheaper 4channel counter rotational like the T34 while you gain enough experience before moving up to a proper 6 channel 2 blade copter.

With these it's all about learning the basics and getting used to small inputs.
The bigger the heli the more room you need and a house will limit you a lot.
The lama size are best in a small sports/church hall, in a house they make a lot of down draft which makes hovering and flying through door ways hard.
I also find these more robust and fun.

thanks for the recommendation , ordered one for my lad from Amazon

Thank you guys. I started looking at the small heli's and thought they were good fun so moved onto the outdoor models as they won't be flying it indoors. I picked out the Big Lama as hubby is a techie freak and soon gets bored so I wanted something challenging. Also I am going to buy a cheapy helicam to put on it. For these reasons I will probably get the Big Lama.
I looked at the Honey Bee but thats going a bit too far I think because it is a 6 channel. I do have concerns about the Big Lama though after seeing it smash its rotars a few times on youtube, however there doesn't seem to be much in that price range. The T-34 looks like a strong machine but he would soon want to upgrade so i'm trying to get something he can grow into lol!

Agreed, alot of these are clones of the s107 - they look the same, but generally don't perform the same.

Thanks guys, in the end I ordered a S107 after reading how they compare to other beginner models! Figured that a couple of quid more will be worth it and ordered from Amazon!

This looks like a great deal, can't wait to be buzzing around the office with one of these

Great deal can't wait to get my hands on this bargin

Hi guys. So I got one of these for my son, he loves it but it doesn't go forward or backwards, just up and down, this is not right surely? We've tried changing the channel thing through a, b and c but nothing. Has anyone else got this problem? I'm wondering whether we just got a faulty one or it could be user error?

dcx_badass

Is the back rotor spinning when you do forwards/backwards?

Hi, no I don't think it spins, I will get my son to check when he gets up but i'm fairly sure no spin.

I have a question about the battery! Can short batt loading times permanently reduce flight time (as happened with old mobile phones)?

Thanks in advance!
