Couldnt remember the brand but all my nephews have them and they are great for a tenner.
I have been back up and got some to hand out as gifts.
Got to be a bargain??

lol I know...my mums a bit nuts so i thought she just forgot where she had it from but when she came round with it i was impressed!! x

OH wants 1 of these for xmas so will pop up and look tomorrow and hope i can get 1

thanx

didnt see any in metro center primark today

Probably a good buy for the price, wont be the best ever (according to DH who has a more expensive version) but good for a bit of messing around.

Just be sure that you are easily and cheaply able to buy the spare parts for these because they DO break..... often! Many shops only sell things like the blades but there are many other little bits which easily break or get damaged.

Best kind of present then. You know someone really sweated over it.

I bought a double blade wireless copter for £9 from B&M bargains the other week... present for a mate who loves it

These are in the inverness store (last week), they are only £9 but only 2 channel,

B&M have a 3 channel for £7.99 spotted today in Barrow-in-Furness

despite the connotations associated with primark, the chances are the same poor kid that makes your next stuff also makes your primark (perhaps with slightly better materials).

Not that i dont like wearing expensive stuff - but I do like to be aware when I'm getting ripped off just because of the label.

Good find. My son would love one of these.
I'm gonna ignore all the users making idiotic comments, then they might go away!

Got any photo of what it OS like ?

Great find
Cant believe its in primark gonna get me 2 for my kids

I'm happy for that.

Much cheaper than the one I got for my nephew last year, it went higher than the house as well....for about 3 seconds and then ended up on the roof where it stayed (and still is as far as I know). Trust me to have to try it first, I was not the most popular uncle that day!
Will pop into primark and get two of these :-)

These copters will be for indoor use ,as they are to light in the slightest breeze and the Transmitter and receivers do not have much range.

If you're looking for a bigger more robust helicopter then check out the Gyro Apache for £18 from Play.com. It's normally £30 elsewhere.

as no specification has been reported on this deal....how can you say it's smaller and less robust....this deal could be for a generic syma s107 which is a better copter than the Apache.

Going a bit off topic. I notice these helicopters are for indoors but if I wanted an outdoor one for my son, nothing expensive but decent enough to not blow away. How much would I be looking at spending? Any experts around?

Hi Slamdunkin.
I had a look at that video, it looks fab, a great pressie. My son is 19 and very into 'gadgets' so something like this would keep him busy on Christmas morning.
Thank you for your help :-)

Well considering you yourself have already stated these these Primark helicopters are too light in the slightest breeze and that their (2 channel) transmitters (Syma S107 is 3ch so that slightly gave that game away) don't have much range then I'm going to hazzard a guess that the Gyro Apache for £18 from Play with 3 channels and a 10m range is infact the better copter.

my friend bought this this weekend in the blackpool store while we were away, it was £9 not £10 though and in a yellow and white box right as you walk in the store along with sudoku loo roll and other xmas gifts for men

rash

I think your getting confused...it's the B&M bargains one that is 2 channel....as yet we don't know how many channels this primark one has.....I have the Syma and the Apache both have similar range and are indoor copters, the build quality of the syma is better than that of the Apache and it has a slightly longer flight time. Also as there are many generics of the Syma spares are cheap and readily available from many places.

OK just going off the rare snippets of info people have already posted in the thread as to the identity of this mysterious flying machine!

You not reckon the Gyro Apache would be any good outdoors then? Would it not crash into walls and ceilings too easily indoors?

Banned

the Apache is for indoor use...it is quite controllable and powered up quite smoothly so with a bit of practice and the trim set, indoor collisions can be avoided. they are to light for outside and have a short range, but even if you keep it hovering close by the slightest breeze will send it off balance even with the giro...but on a perfectly still day you could get away with it in the garden.

For outside use Take a look at the T34 which is a nice entry level copter
