Only posting this for those who just saw the Seiko Velatura posted by a member who subsequently got banned, lol. This is much cheaper. These watches retail for £230+ everywhere else. Have a look on Google. Still a luxury brand. Same look AND the best thing about it...these watches come with LIFETIME GUARANTEE.

These watches also have very high resale value due to being designed by Dreyfuss & Co. More than the purchase price for sure.

EDIT: To those who have just messaged me asking whether this watch is made in Switzerland...YES. It's a Swiss made watch made in La Chaux De Fonds of Switzerland.

EDIT: Black and Gold version sold out. All black still available aswell as brown, gold and a silver ladies version.

It's all good. Just thought I'd help people save some money if they were considering the Seiko Velatura posted earlier.

Although I prefer the Seiko, I do like this and think it's a great deal.
Voted Hot.

As you can see it says 'Suisse Hand Made' on the face dial http://images.mooresjewellers.co.uk/images/products/1336673191-51617700.jpg

You also get a metallic tag on the left hand side of the watch to confirm your watch number. So if 100 watches were made and yours is like the 2nd watch to come from them then it would read N.O 002. Here's how the left hand side would look although it's the silver version of the watch which is also available from Argos btw for £95.94 delivered. Can't find a good pic of the left hand side of the watch
I posted so it will have to do.

Damn this is a hot watch in black but at 48mm the face is just too big for my wrist

Yep but that's the fashion these days to have an oversized face dial. It should still look decent enough even on very thin wrists I reckon as it's a very smart watch.

You know what you might be right. I was previously looking a Dreyfuss and Co watch which was only 36mm and definitely a classy looking piece but this is a beast and at £99 most tempting!

I bought the black and gold one about a week ago and have had nothing but compliments at work and when I'm out socialising. Even if you don't like it...just wait till it's disappeared from Argos eBay outlet and then sell it on. Guaranteed to get around the £200 mark probably more. So it's a win/win situation

BTW these watches are built by Dreyfuss and sold under Rotary so even more reason to get one if you're a fan of Dreyfuss & Co. Hence the name R(otary) & Co

Oh and also I've had a proper look at the black one for you and the dial width is actually 46mm and not 48mm. Every mm counts.

So just to confirm, these are swiss made?

Doesn't shine in the dark. Lame.

Yes, lol. Swiss made. Built and designed by Dreyfuss and Co.

All proper "Swiss Made" watches I have seen actually say "Swiss Made" on the dial and it is something that is governed by law. This says "Suisse Hand Made" which I suspect indicates they are unable to legally say "Swiss Made".

No...these are made in La Chaux De Fonds where the Dreyfuss & Co watches are made. The reason they say 'Suisse' is because it's French for Swiss. La Chaux De Fonds is a French speaking region in Switzerland. Nothing more.

Didymus I ordered it in black. Should be here Friday. Can't wait

Hope you like it. If not...sell it on for profit and buy yourself the Dreyfuss & Co watch you always dreamed of.

BTW from your own link..."The Swiss laws permit the use of the words "Suisse", "produit suisse", "fabriqué en Suisse", "qualité suisse" or the translations, "Swiss", "Swiss Made", or "Swiss Movement". On some older watches, for example, the word "Swiss" appears alone on the dial at the six o'clock position." LOL! Try reading your own link before posting next time X)

I know that Suisse is French for Swiss but while Switzerland has French, German, Italian, etc, speaking areas they all understand the specific term "Swiss Made" to market their products and, as I said, it is a term protected in their law. A business not using an internationally recognised prestige term when they could would be making a big mistake which I don't believe they are doing, it would be like selling 18ct gold as 'metal alloy'.

There's also this one for the ladies

Its very hard to completely trust 'swiss made' these days, even less so when the watch can be purchased at around a £100.
All sorts of tricks are used to call a watch swiss made. Chinese made watches only have to be imported back into Switzerland for part assembly and are then marked as swiss.
Not saying this definitely isn't swiss made.... but there's so much BS now in watch marketing that its hard to know the exact truth of where a watch comes from.

This range by Rotary seem to be very tacky & cheap cold

What makes you say this?

The seiko is gorgeous

Anyone received theirs yet?

Received mine the chronograph seems to be not returning to the 12 o clock position, it's slightly off. Think I will be returning it

Mines arrived too. In black it's stunning. How do I test the chrono to see if mine is also not returning to the 12 o'clock position?

Click the 2 o clock button to start the timer, click again to stop it. Click the the 4 o clock button to reset, all the chrono hands should return to the 12 o clock position

What do people think to theirs? I'm a fan but mine came with a slightly scratched bezel so I'm sending it back and ordering another one.

Still can't find much info on the web about r&co though
