I presumed this was an add on pack, but it's actually the full version and no RDR disc is required. Bargain!

Well I bought the Undead pack when it was reduced many months ago, and this isn't the same one as it's says I've not had it before.

There are two versions of this listed in the store, one is a game add-on, but this version for £3.99 clearly states 'full game.'
Does this by itself have it's own trophies, or is just add on trophies for RDR.

i'm thinking of either getting the RDR GOTY on amazon for 15quids or this one. How great is the original? or shall i just grab this one?

There are 2 Undead Nightmare packs you can buy on PSN.

The Undead Nightmare Pack I have, which I bought last year, requires the original RDR to play.

This for £3.99 is the full game and it clearly states 'Full Game' - no RDR is required to run it.

Better yet, pick PS+ up (£11.99 for 3 month, currently £29.99 for 12 month) download RDR for free (along with other great titles on there) and buy this addon pack for £3.99. RDR is probably the best game of this generation. Absolutely brilliant game.

i agree i also think rdr is the very best game this generation,if it didn't exist then the uncharted games would easily be the best.

I second that there was a post on here a few days ago about HMV offering £1 for trade in DVD's. I am taking a wad down later and plan to use the credit to buy a PSN card, which I can then use to buy 12 months of PS+. Already have a three month subscription and already got Borderlands, Dead Space 2, Little Big Planet 2, Just Cause 2, RDR and others for free, so well worth it

Thinking of doing the same here, if I download RDR via PS+ and then buy the DLC from Playstation store is it compatible with the free RDR downloaded from PS+?
Don't forget that the free games you get via PS+ will stop working when your PS+ subscription runs out.

Although games that you buy using a PS+ discount will still be valid.
I'm thick - how do I get this? I can't see a link to buy on psn - not bought anything for ps3 before. I have the game on disk but how do I buy this please?

Go to the Summer Sale part and it's there.

Although this standalone version won't require your RDR, but it's only £3.99 so it's fine.

Yes
Genuinely surprised this isn't hotter. Are people still in bed?

I was thinking of getting the both edition of red dead redemption but not got around to buying it, but looking at the extras in it other than the undead nightmare the rest are just stuff for multiplayer.

I've 'bought'(added to cart and went through checkout but cost £0 and added to my d/l list no need to start then stop d/l to get it on the list) rdr yesterday as I have PS+, was trying to decide between the 2 versions of undead nightmare available but seeing as I'm not really going to play the multiplayer think I'll stick to the £3.99 one.

Well it wouldn't be a PS+ thread without at least one smart a** trying to point that fact out.

YES WE GET THE POINT no need for the same old 'fact' being repeated in every single thread.

How is he being smart? He is simply letting people know this information and yet you resort to childish name calling. Grow up!!
so i dont have RDR but if i buy this £3.99 copy i will be able to play it fine, correct? i wont be throwing away my money to not be able to play it!

I am tempted to have a punt on this.. I LOVE GTA, but bought RDR and didn't like it, because for me, it was just too slow, and the idea of riding horses didn't appeal.

But for £4, I am tempted to have a go at this, on the off chance that it will grip me more than the original RDR did...

I don't get this.

So the game is £3.99 to buy and that's all you have to pay?

I DON'T have the Red Dead Redemtpion disc. Will it still work?
Does anyone know when the sale will end? Or is the deal just for today only? Thanks in advance for any help.
Can someone just confirm this to me please? If i was to download this, would it be the same as buying this off amazon? amazon.co.uk/Red…8-4

It's very simple...

1 - Buy Undead Nightmare for £3.99
2 - Download it
3 - Install it
4 - Play it

For the 10th time, you do not need the original RDR game to play this - this is a seperate game entirely.
Ok thanks, have some heat! Will end up buying the original RDR game if I like this one...
Last question: What's the difference between this £3.99 download and the other more expensive one?

Click on Summer Sale and it's one of the first ones in the sale!
I will just say now, that I haven't bought this £3.99 version. I'm just going by the fact that:

1 - It says 'Full Game'
2 - It's a different download to the 'Undead' add on I bought last year which adds Undead to your existing RDR.

If I didn't have anything RDR based, then I'd buy this at £3.99 and complain if it doesn't work as it states FULL GAME.
Thanks for your help guys - I think I know why I can't get it ( but I'm too embarassed to tell you)

have you played from the download?

I believe this to be the full game as the psn store states but people must be thinking it's a gamble as the price is almost to good to be true.

edit: didn't see the last post started typing and walked away before finishing it off.

I'll follow through with my update unless others confirm.
