Unsure. There seems to be a lot of overlap with this set, which I've already bought. Certainly not worth buying again if you've already bought the earlier set (it was a hot deal about a year back IIRC); if buying a first set, I think the tenner saved on the cheaper set is worth considering. Yes, it's seventeen less books, but in practice kids fixate on a few anyway and learn through repetition.

If I had a pound for every time I'd had to read the story where Floppy gets cut on the fence...

Voted hot, as it is certainly a good price, but if looking I'd recommend anyone to look at the other set as well.

Yet another book thread - sorry

Never apologise for kids books threads - not enough IMO - my bookworm son and (his Mum and Dads pocket) appreciate always.

This is a great collection of books. Shame iv got no money for this until payday in two weeks time. Just hope they still have it in stock then. As my 5 year old loves reading the kipper bookers she gets from school + these will be handy for my 3 year old twins when they start to read

Can anyone advise me whether these are the books my lo is likely to bring home from school next year? Am not sure if I want the same books at home as her school books really. Thanks.

our reception year son brought home "poor old rabbit" today which is in the £15 set

I bought the cheaper set for £15. Great books with plenty of detail in the illustrations to keep them fun, as GDFrench says children learn through repetition. The change in expression on "poor old rabbits" face is classic as he goes from bin dipping pest to much loved toy of the community is worth the entry price alone.

That collection has now been replaced this month with the new books posted by fish1234567. They were being sold on the Oxford Reading Tree website up until 30th April at half price ie £2.50 each instead of £4.99 for the individual books with CDs.
You will find that the £15 collection will soon no longer be available and the £25 collection will be standard in schools.

I received mine today, 2 days after the order was placed, The box of the books was damaged and couldn't hold them all in so they are being replaced and should be with me monday at the latest, have to say their customer services are fantastic, a lot of companies should follow their example

stephmcd, my box was damaged too but not too bad, i only ordered yesturday so cant complaine, postage super fast, books super great.

Recieved mine 2 days ago, box was fine on mine, really heavy! Soo chuffed i purchased these,

They sent me a second lot and when that arrived that was also damaged, I then phoned up and made a fuss and they sent me a replacement set again and finally this set is ok!
