READ COMMENTS IN THIS POST ABOUT ASDA DOING THE SAME CHAIR (well looks like it) FOR JUST £19!! CHECK IT OUT BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM DEBENHAMS (if at all)

These were in the Home sale for £40 a couple of months ago for 1 day, when I went to check again they went up to £70 and stayed there ever since! These have dropped to £40 today so snap them up while you can! I've sat in them in store and they feel pretty good (certainly for £40 anyway!)

Loads of colours available!

Code DD46 DOES NOT WORK. 5% cashback via Quidco is available though.

£5 gift voucher when you spend £50, so maybe an idea to buy in seperate orders? I.e. buy 1 on seperate accounts to get the £5 gift vouchers. (I think they only allow 1 £5 voucher per customer per day IIRC)

The Luna barstool equivalent (looks exactly the same on the pictures) has been available in red at Asda for £35 for some time - other colours are even cheaper at the moment - direct.asda.com/Bar…tml
Was £15 when we bought two. Asda version good quality whether identical or not.

They are £19 at Asda
Silver

Those do look like they are the same, or copies.

If they are indeed the same you have to be silly not to buy from ASDA

Does anyone know if the Asda ones are the same?

They're also in Argos at £29.99 for an identical stool. These were never £140. Or, if they were, no-one ever bought them. Sorry, but this is a cold deal (though for £20 to £30, they're very good stools).

No I think it's great, this site is all about price transparency and allowing people to make informed decisions before buying.

xfish has helped a lot!

The blue and silver at £19, black £25 and white £35 at Asda

Its not about embarrassment, its about helping the community.

If a mod wants to change this deal to being for the ASDA+ARGOS chairs then I'd be grateful, I'm fearful that people might automatically click through and buy some. I have tried to change the OP and title to dissuade people in the meantime. Thanks for the information guys

I have 4 of these chairs in my kitchen that could do with being replaced. But £160 to replace! Hmmmm Not at the mo.

ASDA have silver for £19, so £76 for a set of 4 from them!

Im sure they cant be the same quality as an original £140 one tho. Dont want to be replacing too soon

Wow scary pic

Problem we had with the ASDA ones was that it was very difficult to move them up and down. Our 14 year old had great difficulty and our 11 year old had no chance.

For that reason I'm out.

a) That could have hurt the recipient ...
b) The recipient could have enjoyed it ...

Hmm, I wish we had confirmation either way about whether these are the same or not....

The one I sat in at Debenhams seemed pretty good quality

The asda ones aren't the same quality. Paint rubbed off within a week and the seat was quite stiff to adjust .

DO NOT BUY THESE!!! I have 4 of these and one of them shattered the other day, so glad it wasnt one of my kids sat on it at the time as it could have seriously injured them, luckily it was a friend who managed to somehow jump before it ripped him a new one

Asda ones or debenhams? They are not same quality

Luna is the name of the style, not the brand. Quality at Debenhams will no doubt be better although I don't know where they get £140 from.

Asda often model their products on other companies products, they even do it with food

Actualy its the ones from littlewoods so not sure how they compare to asda/debenhams, but look the same.

Just goes to show that cheap means cheap quality, a t-shirt doesn't matter. This is a serious issue and good on the op for sharing it

they are AWFUL, I tried it, it will fall apart or get stuck.

Or look on eBay, you can get a pair of bombo style stools delivered for much the same price.

I'm sure both Debenham's and ASDA's stools come from the same chinese factory. Quality is good enough to sit your mother-in-law on it but not safe to sit anyone you like.
The RRP on Debenham website is a trick so people think they make a good deal. Based on the temperature of this deal - it's working.

Having looked at the photo of a broken one, my fear is about WHERE it gets stuck as I don't fancy having one surgically removed (_;)
