Just had one for breakfast, good size and perfectly ripe. I'm not aware of anywhere they are cheaper than this.

4 for £1.89 in Tesco

At Tesco the 4 pack is ripen at home which is not the easiest thing to do with this fruit. Also do you know what size they are at Tesco? Waitrose do a 4 pack for £1.99 but again they are ripen at home and small avocado's. I've wasted a lot before. The one's in Asda are ready to eat.

Gently press the base of avacado to see if it is ripe enough. It should be at least about the same as a firm"ish" tomato. Can't stand it when you open one and it's not ready. If you only want one half leave the stone in the other and it will take less time to go off. Leave them in a bowl with banana(s) to ripen quicker or fridge for slower. There that's my Avocado knowledge. Watch a video on how to prepare to be sure you don't stab your finger with a knife. I did it once and it could be very nasty.

They're ripen at home though

I prefer a home ripened if I’m brutally frank

Imagine lot of shoppers doing this and you end up with a squished avocado if you are shopping in a hurry!!

same here

and I definitely prefer them to one with somebody's thumb print in the end lol
I got 4 for £1 from local market this morning. Medium sized. Not over ripe at all - intact 1 is ok for breakfast tomorrow and the other 3 need to ripen abit so best of both world's

BRUTALLY? Bit OTT

That's brutal
I saw the single ones in Asda the other day for 50p each. Almost posted it too. It was day before yesterday maybe it's finished now if they selling 2 packs for 20p more? Heat added op, love avocado
I bought some of these yesterday and used one last night which had black spots all over it, so they're not lying about them being ripe!
Don't really buy that much from Lidl but have to say that their avocados are one of the best. Great buttery taste, always perfectly ripe and last a good time.
Nice these and a decent size

Oh imagine! What a world we live in. I don't think you have quite grasped what I've said. Remember there are 30 mile an hour speed zones when you are rushing around.

Same but you can't compare the prices when they aren't the same thing
