seen some in asda which was similar,with mudguards and a better looking paint job than this for i think £119?Though to be fair this comes ready built and a 6 week service

It's a steel frame so will be heavy. I'd try and find something with alu frame. The £299 is totally fictitious. They had the crossfire 1 at £199 on sat which is a much better bike.

Steel has its benefits - more forgiving ride and with the weight comes greater stability. It is also a less technical material for building to a budget so it might be that the frame is better quality at this price than aluminium.

My mum has this bike and loves it, she's had it since August and so far she's had no problems with it
