iPhone SE takes about 2.5hrs and that is over twice the price and has a tiny battery.

Most people usually sleep for 3+ hours during the night. It could possibly be charged up then when it's not being used?
Just thinking outside the box.

Many custom ROMs etc for realme devices?

I wouldn't worry, Realme's UI is very near stock Android. There are a few Rom's on XDA though

This is a cracking budget handset. The SD665 is a decent SoC and nice big battery. Heated.

Android 10 has just started rolling out in Beta for the 5i as well

I generally charge mine over night, I'd guess this would last you a full day or more for battery, so not an issue I wouldn't say to most

Switchy, this or the RN8 from earlier today? Mostly just looking for something to tide me over until the next iPhone

What's the situation with warranties from overseas Amazon sites? Are they honoured by Amazon UK? If not would UK Realme honour a warranty from overseas Amazon? I assume I could return it to Amazon Spain as a last resort but I don't speak Spanish. Would that be a problem?

Simply for tiding you over I'd go for the one with the better resale value, the note 8, will come with a uk plug and more storage, so you may even get your money back or slightly less.

Realme warranty covers worldwide I believe, but you'd have to return to Amazon Spain if there was a fault or change of mind, also you'd have to pay for the postage back to Spain yourself for change of mind.

Yep there are for the Realme 5. But not this Realme 5i. I could only find 1 custom Rom for 5i, AOSP in beta testing...

I'd say pointless for custom Rom on such a budget device. Plus - Realme do keep close to Stock so no need for messing about really.
What is the camera like in this?

Mad question. 10's + of phones with very good cameras. Look on GSMARENA for mobile phones.. Everything about erm you could want to know there. Plus they have a search with criteria like price range, cameras etc. i.e the sort of info one would need to know in order to provide you with an answer anywhere close to your question.

Lol kinda. Technically Black Shark and Redmi are Xiaomi. And Pocofone FYI if we're trying to be clever. But your saying it in the same light as Honor is Huawei. They're direct brands. The others mentioned are owned by the parent company BBK. But are separate different brands. The ones mentioned above are not. Semantics...

Hey Mr Switch, did you see my PM from last week? Asking what charger I should buy for the Galaxy M21 that you recommended?

Thanks.
hi, can you please help- how to reach to the Amzaon Spain checkout page which shows (in some screenshots in other deals as well) which shows options of currency and English language. I can not find how to reach to that page, I can only see that its all in spanish and asked to pay for delivery despite being Prime UK subscribed. thank you

Prime UK has nothing to with with ES. International delivery is paid no matter what. Try using Chrome for auto-translation.

Would a higher wattage on these fast chargers charge the battery faster or is the phone limited 15Wmax charge rate?

I also gave 2x Lenovo P2 fast chargers that are QC2.0 I think.
Do you think I could use those with the correct usb c charge cable to charge the M21?
I ask because there seems to be 4 or 5 different fast charge schemes.

Thanks again.
@MrSwitch is Realme 5 pro worth it at £125? New and sealed.
I'm softening on buying from China on the basis of no risk no reward.

I was wondering whether I've got myself tied up in knots about China. It can't be more crooked than Brazil and I used to buy rare LPs costing three figures from Mercado Livre sellers all the time on the same basis. Once or twice I even took the huge risk of sending money using Western Union so big was the saving (LPS for £100 that would be three times that from ebay or a dealer). I never once got ripped off, but I was mentally prepared to take the loss. I'm wondering why I'm getting so worked up now and if my China-phobia is partly psychological rather than being as completely rational as I think it is.

I have actually used Aliexpress before to buy an electro-acoustic preamp for about a third of the price and everything was fine.

Could anyone be kind enough to tell me if they've had good or bad experiences of buying mobile phones on say Ali or DHGate and which sellers they'e used have been reliable with genuine products? Did the product develop a fault after a while and what happened?

I'm assuming Xiaomi store and Realme store etc are at least not going to rip you off. Would the Chinese stores refund you if anything goes wrong - i.e missing goods or damage on arrival or shortly afterwards? Even if it cost to send it back to Chna at least you would only lose that relatively limited amount and any customs fees and VAT.

I'm assuming there's no way its even worth bothering trying to get Xiaomi UK or Realme UK to show any interest if an item bought on Aliexpress/DH Gate goes wrong six months down the line. Would credit card Section 65 protection apply to items bought from China on these kind of sites?

When buying abroad is there any specification compatibility with UK networks you need to be aware of or is anything marked "Global version" sufficient?

Sorry about bombarding the experts with questions! Ignore me if it gets too much.
