How do these compare to the redmi phones by Xiaomi?

Very well, definitely on par, though I'd still take the Xiaomi for killer batteries

Not in this price range. Have a look at the Mi 10 Lite, decent 5G phone for around £300 hotukdeals.com/dea…795

This phone competes against the redmi note 9 very well; it has a smaller battery though (still big!)

Then it is a really good deal, as the so-called Realme 6 'Pro' only has a Snap 720G. Hmm, might need to get one for my mum.

The 730g scored 66,398 - the G90T scored 79,755. If you go off such a thing
Also seen the 128/4 version is just €20 more, which is great value for double the storage IMO.

Go for it mate, it makes more sense for you to add it. That same seller again is selling the 8GB ram version for a further €40 which might be worth adding also?

Good phone. Really good. Impressed for £160
Guys what would be best challenger bank to use with no expense on maintaining account? Deal mentions Revolut but seems like they are getting some negative press lately. Any experience on monzo, sterling and others?

To be honest I still use my trusty Halifax clarity. Got the revolut to transfer some euros at a exchange rate to a French bank account, but I like the security of still using a credit card (which has the same 0% commission).

Starling is really good, used it since beta no issues. Monzo is gaining notoriety for randomly suspending accounts, leaving people without funds for weeks and months.

I use TransferWise. When you exchange currencies using Monzo you will notice that they and some of the other well-known banks use TW as there Forex service. Have had absolutely no issues with them and they can hold a balance in more currencies than the rest. They also include a physical card for free upfront.
The Oppo Find X2 Lite I ordered has arrived... Is it worth the extra £130 over this? I was going to sell the bonus earpods as we prefer over-the-head headphones... Bloody hell Switchy, you got me thinking now!

Thanks for replies. Never heard of transferwise, but looking at their website seems to be quite good. Multi currency looks good option. How long you been using it ? Does their physical card accepted in most places?

Their physical card is just a Mastercard Debit Card.

I've been using TW for years to send/receive money to/from family. I have always used my BA Amex to buy everything from anywhere in the world before the currency rates started fluctuating so madly. I'd say I'm using the TW card for non-GBP purchases for about 6 to 8 months.
was wondering if it's worth waiting for my Redmi 9 pro to arrive via Amazon or go for this? Just want a decent camera. { around 200 to £350) currently still using a p9 it's still going strong but can tell it struggles.
Cheers for any advise

I have a Realme X2 Pro as my daily driver. The camera setup has a couple of differences to the Realme 6 but the primary camera is the same.

I have been very impressed with the images I'm getting, more so after side-loading GCam. I don't know how it compares to your current phone but overall, I don't think you'll be disappointed at this price range.

Having said all the above, my wife is about to start using the Oppo Find X2 Lite we got for her a couple of days ago for £339 from Vodafone. As that is also in your price bracket, you might want to consider it? I've posted a nice contract deal for it if you don't want to spend upfront.

m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10113&idPhone2=10176

I think the Oppo has a better screen, more premium build materials, better selfie camera, and the benefit of a 5G modem which may or may not be important for you. The Realme has a better rear camera setup.

You shouldn't compare the headline price in this deal with the Oppo's price tag as that comes with 8/128 as standard. Although, the Realme has a dedicated card slot so that comparison just comes down to the RAM.

Less bloatware
Anyone considered the Oppo Reno Z, £169 at Laptops Direct? Similar specs with possibly one or two better features and essentially Realme are Oppo phones, as they are the parent owner.

You get the same MediaTek G90 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage with a beautiful 6.4in AMOLED screen.

Gorilla Glass 5 front and rear and very nice twin speaker set up.

You only do however only get a 48mp rear camera with a 5mp depth sensor. But I think black and white and Macro lenses on this Realme 6 are more gimmicks to make the numbers up.

You also get NFC for GooglePay, inbuilt fingerprint screen reader and VOOC Fast Charge on the Reno Z.

Do you know, Mr Switch, which phone would be best for recording phone calls?
I need to be able to clearly play what was being said by both sides, either using some good, reliable up, or a phone that has this function availabe.

Thanks
