VERY COLD, AliXP twenty to FORTY DAY SHIPPING as stated.

Probable extra charges for handling, customs + 20% VAT.

Not to mention broken or smashed screen in transit, stolen as in many cases with expensive phones or simply disappeared.

SO MANY uncertainties, so many risks, so much waiting and for what?

Not a cheap phone nor a huge enough bargain on a pricey phone. Not worth the hassle, wait, anxiety, little saving etc.

Not to mention: no guarantee when it develops faults.

News is poco is going to release a budget phone to go head to head with nord they may rebadged this phone and sell here as poco whatever it will be called. I'm interested to see Dimensity in action. But it's still to early for this processor we don't know how it will be supported with updates ect. This should have come with a amoled panel in all fairness 90hz.

There have been variants after original Poco iirc so possible. Poco F2 is worth the gamble for 250ish (poss. within next month or two) but from a store with 98%+ score at least. Even then assume customs+vat or lost or faulty phone and no guarantee etc, just a gamble worth it vis-à-vis bang for bucks considering what that is.

Never paid customs never paid tax, have you?
Looks like a decent set up to me.
If you're OK with it being the Chinese version, which some are, and are happy to flash firmware, then looks like a bargain for mid range dosh
I wonder if this is a preview of what to expect in the rumoured OnePlus Aurora... No issues with going Mediatek if the performance is comparable...
Looks like a lot of phone for the money - 90Hz, 5G, 4900mAh battery and 7nm Dimensity SoC sound great. Getting it safely will be the issue but you’d find this hard to beat.
No NFC !

Typo on the move, but no matter how many times I post a picture of 97.6% you say 97.
No matter how many time times I say three digits you say a two digit number or quote or two more than three. This is a clear indication you have a issue with the truth.
Lol trying to move god knows what rather than the FALSE user rating you posted.

Don't buy from dodgy Chinese seller, but you bought a Poco F1 from Banggood.

Too much risk the phone will be broken in transit, but you bought a Poco F1 from Banggood.

Not worth the bother to save a few quid yet you only saved about £20 on what you paid buying from Banggood.
I''m going to rest my case there with FACTS.

With this kind of performance from their no.3 chip totally agree.

The 10X mate with a dimensity 820 onboard will most likely be the donor. This old news and the V5 is realme's usual copy of whatever Xiaomi are doing, the price on this one is keen as it is destined for the Asian markets in the main.
As for updates on the platform the Note 8 pro is recieving Miui 12 as we speak.

And the Realme 6 is doing ok too

So there is no issue with Mtek and whatever updates you are on about.

Historically mediatek have have not been as good as qualcomm in terms of updates and have not supported phones. This is what I mean. Of course I hope thats not a issue but you never know.

Also security updates was a issue last year on there chips and was just updated recently after a year. Not saying it doesn't happen with other chips but the time it took Google to respond with a update was quite slow. This is because the source code for mediatek chips is not open.

What global version? The only thing rumoured is a Pro.
Does Realme have a good custom app scene? Like xiaomi?
DanLazerDeGeneres12/08/2020 20:25

Yes , don't know why I wrote app. Soz

From XDA forums, I can see that there's a reasonable custom ROM scene for the Realme phones that have been released let's say, early 2020?

I use the Realme X2 Pro as my daily driver, and I have to say, there's no reason for using a custom ROM as far as I am concerned. I think most folk who turn towards custom ROMs do so because they like an reasonably stock Android experience. Realme, like other BBK brands, tend to keep their ROMs pretty stock and they just add a few nice features on top. So no real reason to go down the custom ROM route...

The BBK Group move away from their base OS's has only really happened this year, in general their OS's have left a lot to be desired hence they are opting for the easier route.
Stock now carries so many OEM features these days I really don't know what people are going on about anymore. There is no stock or stock like device that can beat the the best Skinned OS's for speed, battery or usable features.

The custom ROM scene isn't what it used to be that's for sure, I had a good look the other day and the variety of ROMs and number of devices covered has fallen from the haydays I remember.

@realdeals any idea if the seller adds Google services will it be fully fledged working? Alternatively is a global ROM available for this phone, if so how do you flash it? (I'm guessing the global ROM will have GMS right?)

Also, what's all this about band 20 and 5G bands etc. and what does this phone support

Can someone please explain!

Thanks

Just for the benefit of those in doubt, I have ordered many, many phones over the past few years from AliExpress and
1)apart from during covid, has never taken longer than 3 weeks to arrive. In fact, the last phone I ordered from realmes store came in ten days. Yes, ten days.
2) I have never been charged customs till today.
3)I have never received a damaged item because they pack them very well.
4)no phone from them that I have used has any developed any problems so no, warranty hasn't been a problem. Rather phones have been more reliable than mainstream manufacturers like Samsung.
5) you state this is a pricey phone - can you kindly find us one with similar specifications at a similar price please for the benefit of the community? Thanks

Cyanogen has diminished completely now hasn't it?

Cyanogen Inc? They are done. They were mugged off by OP, they were used purely to get a foot in the door in the western markets.
The talk was:
No devices were given to them to work with.
No kernel to work with
Just parameters to build to.
It was ironically funny how OPPOs recovery tool work on the OPO powerd by COS.

The seller mentions choosing if you want the device with or without.

For 4G and 5G info

As always these thing are dependent on how and where you use your device and what network you are on.
I don't see any reference to band 20 LTE, if you're on Vodafone or o2 (or any of their MVNO's) be prepared to be disappointed.
