I have the 12gb blue which I ordered from Spain last week.
I would consider the 8gb for extra money as the storage is ufs3 rather than 2.1 which is quite a bit quicker I believe.

Overall a very good phone though, if it had a Samsung label it would likely cost twice as much!

Looks a lot of phone for the money. Are these any good? Mid range?

Flagship SD855+ level performance.
High mid ranged camera.

If you were looking at a midranger then you should be buying this, it will blow away anything in that category.

Cheers for the info, looking at DxoMark (I know it's not the be all and end all) the camera isn't bad but not as good as my current phone. Looking for a better camera.

Had this phone for about a month before it was punted. Camera and OS not great at all and it was a big ol' slab of a thing.
Solely looking at the stats you think you're getting an absolute bargain but the parts don't make the whole for some reason.
I am am personally using realme X2 bought in Dec directly from Realme Europe which costs €290 at that time. Very good phone with high specification. The delivery was fast too. Phone is very fast and very responsive, cam and other stuff are also good. I am never going back to Apple or Samsung paying extra as this works for me. There are lot of videos reviewing Realme phones on YouTube if it helps deciding.

I did say a high midranged camera and only because it has the SD855+ ISP.
Having said that I wouldn't be looking to Dxomark for which camera to go with, their record is shocking.

I've got a Mate 20 pro, do you think this is an upgrade then, all things considered?

Thanks for your help
Cracking deal but really want 128gb on phone with no sd card expansion. Really tempted though. Good find.

Lol, that's a nice price for a 256Gb but it's also pushes it into K30 Pro territory £380 for the 128Gb and falling.

Samsung Galaxy S10? I would say it isn't an upgrade.

For this price, this is a very, very good option with European warranty from a big-name seller.
I've had this phone since December and I can't fault it. Admittedly camera is not as good as Pixel 3 I had before but it gets close if you install gCam.

OS is pretty close to Pixel 3 now I've updated to latest Realme UI.

For the price, power, battery life and charging speed it's fantastic.

i am selling my Mate20 pro as i have just ordered one of these. i can possibly get around £200-250 quid for it and i just bought the 12gb/256gb model for £385 so thats only costing me £135-185 extra for

90hz display
12gb RAM (double what i have now + faster)
256gb Storage (again double)
Quad Camera setup (not sure on quality)
Snapdragon 855+
UFS 3.0 vs 2.1
Faster charging at 50w vs 30w (same batt size)
Better speakers (Dolby Atmos)

so for me thats totally worth it, dependent if you are bothered about those things, the 90hz display is already sold for me tbh and the performance vs My Mate 20 should see at least 25%+ improvement due to the upgraded in all the RAM, MEM, UFS and CPU.

and this is for a brand new phone with warranty.

Wow thanks for the in-depth info and the reply. Would you do me a favour and let me know how you find the camera especially against the Mate 20 pro. My last 2 phones have been Huawei and the only camera I've (personally) seen better was the P30 pro.

Yeah tbh i'm not expecting the camera to be better because this Mate 20 pro probably has the best camera ive used on any phone..........but.........im not a camera person and dont take many pics lol But the DXO mark for the RealMe is 95 and the Mate 20 is 112 so around 15% better for the Mate 20, but you can get Gcam for the RealMe which should vastly improve the software side since thats where they are lacking.

The new X50 pro is coming soon but i found the 8/128gb version on aliexpress for £423+£23 shipping which is only £40 more than i paid for my x2 pro. but the problem is that it is coming from china which means IF i had to pay duties and VAT it would bump up the overall cost to £580+ and with no warranty.

so im going to stick with the X2 Pro at £385, its a steal for the specs

The X50's cams are lifted straight.out of the. X2 Pro, now thats seruous corner cutting for you and a BBK trait.

yeah i think considering the X50 is on a higher tier to the X2 then it should really have an upgrade of sorts.

But to them the avg consumer doesnt know much diff, they can just market a '16mp' camera and some would still assume thats flagship level because otherwise why would they brag abt it lol

Although i think RealMe is basically the bargain basement for Oneplus (part of OPPO and hence under the BBK umbrella), since the X2 pro is basically a mishmash of parts from the 7T and a few other OPPO phones. Same way an Audi is a VW underneath which then in turn is also a Skoda underneath.

But hey if im getting flagship specs at lower prices i'm not complaining 😁
Realme has very little to do with OP, they infact sell more devices than OP. It will be interesting to see if all this divergences actually increases their overall sales ( OPPO ).
The X2 pro is very good value in the current market and midrange buyers could do a lot worse than this. The X50 Pro not so much because it uses the same camera's and is pushing up towards £500, in comparison to the K30 Pro/zoom that offers better camera hardware and performance and cost less or the same respectively.

I've had both phones and preferred the Mate 20 Pro, just a much nicer build quality, better screen and camera setup. Gcam doesn't work well on the Realme as only certain aspects of the app are available - there's only so much the software can do if the hardware isn't there. It kept closing when I installed it on the Realme but it may be better now.
90Hz refresh is fine but on a lower quality screen panel for me.
Hope you enjoy it better than I did though

I see...I'm reading that the OS has totally changed and it's pretty good now. My mate 20 pro is cracked to hell and looking to replace soon...but I'm struggling to find a decent midrange replacement.

I have been using this phone since about 2 weeks. Came to it from an Essential Phone. Absolutely love it. The Android 10 OS is very good, not stock but has a few decent additional features. Absolutely no issues with performance either. I'd recommend it if you can still pick it up on the cheap.
Balls, OOS!
