Anyone have experience with Dell cashback offers? I presume they are pretty good. I'm after a dell xps 13, might be worth it with this offer plus a 10% edu staff discount.
The prices for the XPS 9560 have been inflated so the discount leaves the item at the previous price. Honestly, didn't expect this from Dell

No but I have experience with Dell laptops and they aren't what they used to be. I'm typing this on an XPS 15 which is less than a year old and the hinges are loose and the bottom coming away but they won't repair under warranty. It's considered wear and tear apparently!

My previous Inspiron wasn't any better so I won't be spending £2000 on anymore premium Dell laptops.

I think you got a dud. My XPS 13 is still going strong 11 months after purchase. Hinges are strong, bottom's solid. My main issue is that the keyboard isn't thinkpad quality plus that whole 2 lanes of PCI-E to the 4 lane capable thunderbolt 3 port, but these are things I knew before I bought it.
Dell products are not as good as they used to be.

Last year I sent back 3 XPS 15's because of different issues within the space of 3 months. Then I finally settled for an Alienware 4k screen top of the range machine but paid just over £2.6k for it. Six months down the line and I an now seeing white spots on the screen that becomes very annoying with a black background.
Does anyone know if this is worth £529 with cashback please?

Not really a deal as the prices of Dells have rocketed over the last couple of years. I bought my XPS13 for £650, and now the starting price for it at Dell is £1150!!
The dell monitor I've been looking at for awhile was £500 now it's £599 they are not stupid.

Is it cheaper elsewhere perhaps? Amazon etc?

Does anyone know if the 10% edu discount can be used with the cashback offer? (e.g. buy a Dell product for £1300 - 10% = £1170, then get £150 cashback = £1020, saving £280 in total?)

T&C don't say not but say 'refurbished items are excluded'.

Dell have a price match policy. If you go into the sales chat and link them to the same product on Amazon, John Lewis, Currys/PC World etc which are at the 'real' price then they will match to that. They matched me on the FHD / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / 97Whr battery from £1,649 to £1,539 (listed at PC World and Amazon at £1,549).

The salesperson I spoke to said I couldn't use my MyUniDays 10% code, but further discounted it from the matched £1,539 to £1,479. So not a 10% discount, but still better than nothing. I was assured that my purchase was still eligible for the £150 cashback.

£60 + £150 = £210. Not bad getting that £60 on top of the £150.
