Windscribe is a privacy tool that allows you to access the Internet anonymously, helping you unblock Geo-restricted content, bypass network firewalls and keep your browsing habits hidden from prying eyes.

Windscribe is not just a VPN, it’s a desktop application and browser extension that work together to protect your online privacy, unblock websites, and remove ads and trackers that follow you across the websites you visit every day. Never mess with confusing settings and options menus again, our minimalist applications are designed to be turned on once, and forgotten about.

· Mask your physical location from 3rd parties with an encrypted tunnel
· Never see most ads again (Requires browser extension installation)
· Access geo-blocked content
· Torrent securely and share files without worrying about your ISP snooping on you
· Best-in-industry firewall that protects you in case of connectivity loss, which is superior to a “killswitch”
· We take your privacy seriously: emails are optional, and we have a strict zero logging policy
· Earn money sharing links with your friends

I'm quite a big fan of windscribe. Occasional outages but uptime is good and server speeds acceptable, usually around 80% than without.

I have the Pro account, even though it's free...don't bother, it's crap!

It's not, it's awesome, been using since 2016
I bought a lifetime Pro membership for Windscribe last year for like £60 and use it every day, mostly fast servers, clients on every platform. Good stuff.
Windscribe is ace. I've got unlimited lifetime

Free servers are pretty limited.
There's only one Hong Kong free server you can use that's outside Europe.

What's the point of using VPN at all if you still need to connect to EU servers.
Use this but it never fools iplayer when I work in europe Anyone found a vpn that does?
Do people generally just get these in order to download torrents? Seems to be the main reason I could think of.
sometimes a bit patchy - but its cheap so cant complain!

They are ok. Got 3yrs plan for 11ish last year. Use only for jackett on docker. Can't get more then 2 3mbps in torrent.

Whenever I'm at the caravan and I don't have a signal, I'll happily use another van's open network with this VPN.

I also use it to watch TV from mainland Europe.

I also have 3 years I got from here and it's fine for me, try different servers

oh, I use a lot of its features, run it on my router, etc.
Windscribe is ace. I've got unlimited lifetime
It's not a bad code, but the old code i used back i think was May gives me 50GB limited so i keep the one i have for the moment.
My year of pro for ten euro or so just ran out

Wouldn't pay full for it, only really need it for IPTV football and had to use 3rd party app to get it to work

There's a discord chat for support and attitude of owners etc stinks

Android app not updated in two months and updates in general is a running joke with them
How can I use this to watch Kodi on my Amazon fire stick
I have been using Windscribe for the last couple of years. Good experience so far but then I don't do any significant TV watching.

Not sure what that last sentence was, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't English.

Either way, if you don't have experience of it I'm not sure people will be too interested by what your mate's mate said about his illegal streaming subscription not working properly.

Really want to grass them up like you did with yourself?

Tried their Netflix server? It's pretty good at fooling iPlayer.
adamnsu21/10/2019 19:39

Many thanks

No need to do that. They have an Amazon Fire app, just search for it on the Fire device itself. Look on their website, it tells you all about it.

Depends which device you're using, but there's a separate set of servers called Windflix which are designed to fool streaming services into thinking you're not using a VPN. They have UK, US, Canada and Japan, but it's a Pro feature.

Yeah I have those.... I'll have to give them a try although for me they are usually the slow ones, I'll do some fiddling.. Thanks

I've been able to stream in 4K through them, so they're definitely quick enough

It's probably me buggering something up hehe as I said I'll do more tinkering tomorrow, thanks again
Pay for Windscribe, it's great.

Highly recommend paying if you like the free plan, Netflix access in multiple countries and fast speeds!

iPlayer keeps blacklisting huge ranges of IP addresses. Therefore it is a bit of a whack a mole for the majority of cheaper VPN services.

I did have a lifetime membership on Zoog but all the same iPlayer no longer works there either.

Now I use my own diy smartdns, much easier as it is cheap and the speed is very fast.
WindScribe is beautiful. :-)
