Users are reporting the time taken to process sales is VERY slow.

Seems like a great trade in price imo especially if youve just picked up an iphone from the recent o2 deal you could be quids up!

has been posted as a whole thread however this probably deserves its own thread

Best trade in price, Thinking of taking my item off ebay and selling it here. If I get 390 from ebay to make 330

anyone used this service ?

Saying £330 however does not mean thats what you get......i find most companies offer less once you send in the phone, then charge you pastage to get the phone back! Still.....good if they actually pay the amount.

They have tick boxes for condition so they should be £330. Is it really £60 of £390 that goes into ebay's tax dodging off-shore fund?

I always guesstimate at around 15% for ebay and paypal fees, I hate ebay so much but there is no competition.

Yep it's a monopoly. And a real ripoff one. But everyone still goes there because its where the liquidity is.

Beware of O2 recycle! The slightest Mark on the side panel of the phone and they take 10% off! Go through sainsburys. They are pretty much the same price but don't knock off for the condition

Ive used o2 recycle and they paid top price for a perfect phone and took 10% off for a small mark. Seems reasonable to me. Anyway the iphone im selling to them is mint so will be fine

just reiterating whats been said, you would have to get nearly 400 on ebay to beat this. Have some heat

Tried to get O2 recycle to price match this, but they're not one of their known competitiors, so no extra 8% in amazon voucher for me

O2 no longer take 10% off for scuffs ans scratches. General wear and tear means you still get 100% of the value.

This seems decent.

I've just been through the process, you can get a shipping label without an IMEI number, which is bit lax on their part.

1) Not sure if the shipping label will offer me any compensation if the Post Office loose it

2) I saw mentioned that it might take 30 days to receive payment.

But I'm assuming if its a service company that Apple officially endorse then it should be fine.

Any ideas how much for a 32gb 4S

How do you do this? The link just takes you to the main apple site.

anyone used this service ?

it is apple dot com what possibly go wrong?

I have used this service to recycle an iPad. They offer a lot less when they are in receipt of the item and you have to pay to have the item returned if you are not happy with the price offered. You'll probably find you'll be disappointed with the price they actually offer.

anyone fancy selling me an iphone 5 for £330?

Thanks for the feedback, did they say why they reduced the price?

I'm surprised no one has decided to produce a competing service, but I guess they would also need a Paypal like company as well.

Everyone stating ebay charges is wrong.

It's 10% eBay fees when you sell an item
3% paypal fee when you receive the money(doesnt happen if you do bank transfer)
And the listing fee which is 40p for a BIN

Why not just put it on your local Gumtree site? No fees, and surely you can get £350 cash pretty quickly?

Seriously? Sell it here! HotUKDeals - user feedback system and no fees

That's not so far off the 15% that someone mentioned earlier, which is also my mental guide rate. To clear £330 you'd need 330/(1-.15)=£388.24 sale price. Not to mention the postage. Crazy isn't it?

Other's have fallen by the wayside. eBid I think, qxl, etc and there have been other payment providers too from banks and independent firms that just haven't made a dent in PayPal's business. There is the perfect proof of first mover advantage.

HOT!! perfect for all those Apple Zombies that realised they should have bought an S4 instead

£78 for a 16Gb 4S or 'no resale value' for a water damaged iPhone 5.
Think I'll stick with eBay.

Not bad, enough to get rid of your iPhone and buy a proper phone (a S4 )

Anyone that got the o2 refresh phones and wants to sell them should please inbox me. Thanks.

I got an email telling me the revised price with very little information why. The iPad was in amazing condition and I provided all the correct information about the model version and condition when getting the initial quote. The price they offered was about 40% less and they wanted about twenty quid to return the iPad. Could definitely have got more elsewhere.

Samsung funboys plastic is fantastic?

When I just looked at the recycle programme in apples website, it said that a mint iPhone 5 was worth £165. How is anyone being quoted £330 ?

Unlocked vs Locked

£350 for a 32gb too...

Anyone know I got a quote for £330
Do I pack it in the original box with the charger usb lead and headphone?

Google are the only ones I think can compete with eBay. They already have Google checkout. Don't know why they still haven't tbh
