Would this help with severe lower back pain?
Please see a trained professional to work out what the cause of your back pain is!

This will help me, as my pain is linked to muscle imbalance and tilted hips (overtight thigh muscles) which this will help release as part of a stretching routine. Yours could be for a number of different reasons, including something like a herniated disc - certainly not something you want to subject to percussive force.

A physiotherapist really helped me work out what the root cause was, took a couple of different physios to find one that worked well with me.

    This is worth a listen....

Can massage guns from the likes of Theragun, Pulse Roll and others brands, help you warm up before exercise and recover more quickly after it?Massage guns are one of the biggest-selling fitness devices of the past few years. They have a vibrating silicone head that delivers percussive pressure onto the muscle.Manufacturers claim ‘vibration’ therapy increases bloodflow and helps the user warm up before exercise, perform better during it AND ease soreness afterwards. But does it?Listener Clare got in touch after she bought one following a tip-off from a friend that they could help relieve aches and pains after a run (including a bad back) as well as her husband’s sore shoulder.Greg Foot finds out if those claims are true by speaking to manufacturers, leading physiotherapists and scientists involved in the latest research.

Bought this a few months ago (can’t believe how many times I am commenting this , note to self “must stop looking at HUKD”) it is really good I was surprised how strong the pulse was at first I thought not as strong as I would like it to be but ok then realised it was on first setting I had another 4 to go.

Are these suitable for treating trigger point type issues? I use a cricket ball to treat mine but some are awkward to get to with the required pressure.
Yes, a bullet head is probably the best option but different for everyone. Personally, I would see a good sports therapist (or similar) who can pinpoint the exact area (not always where it might seem obvious)

These have helped me lessen the number of appointments I need and hence cost

Trying to pick the correct wording as I genuinely don't want to break any rules or offend anybody, can this be used intimately ?
You could but it doesn't appear to be the same as a wand type device which just vibrates.
I believe this has a thrusting motion and not so much a vibration. You might think this might work out internally but the textured surface is made for high friction so it has plenty of grip on the skin meaning even if you were to use this in that way with a lubricant it would probably be a bad idea.

Best thing to do I think is get a proper wand with attachments from somewhere like lovehoney which does have fairly frequent sales and plenty of user reviews to help pick out a decent one.

This My Memory massager has 2 x 18650 li-ion cells in it.

This Aerlang one from Amazon should have 6 x 18650 cells in it which means the power unit is delivering 3 times the power. Even allowing for any potential differences in the efficiency of their respective motors, the Aerlang one should have 2-3 times the torque.

I don't actually have the Aerlang but I have one very similar that also has a 24v power input and it's superb. (edited)

    Replying to

Just the power of the battery and the motor. The MyMemory motor is getting 7.4v and the Amazon one is getting 22.2v.

I've no idea how the measure rpm but these massagers have a reciprocating action - the 'thump'. I know a 22.v powered motor is going to produce more 'thump'. This can of course be adjusted with the settings but the Amazon one will be much stronger if both are at max setting.

Aren't these about £500 at the Trafford Centre?
Yep I saw a stand there selling these for crazy prices.

Decent price but if you really want a decent one Amazon got more than few upto 40£ and what I like about Amazon 2 year warranty ;). Anything goes wrong( dead battery, overheating) quick easy refund :D. Battery holds 2 hours that's a big NO for me . Normally they hold 4-6 hours and really good ones even 8 hours on one charge ! . If you work physically (construction, heavy lifitng) or train regularly (gym , mma , football etc.) it's a good thing to have. Anyone with "backpain" etc. just check with your doctor first ... it's great for trapped never , sore muscles etc , but you don't want to try to "massage injured hernia" and make even bigger damage to yourself (edited)

Just what I needed to maybe bring some relief from the crippling back spasms I keep getting. They have been so bad this week, when it strikes it has actually taken my breath away with the intensity of the pain.
    Thanks for posting this deal
Sounds like a nerve. Look for stretching and releasing movements on youtube etc. I had a similar problem. It was caused by poor posture.

For what it's worth, I've found a Recovapro that my GF bought for me useful for my dodgy hips, calves, and tendons. I've got long term injuries, and have found that they've improved from using the massage gun.

25 quid seems like a great price to try out and see if it works for you.
