Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries

Various sizes available

4 per pack for AA & AAA sizes

When previously offered, the AA size was 2500mAh (not 800mAh as sold in PoundLand)

I've bought these previously and can thoroughly recommend them

I have a set of these from Lidl a year old, I have a very good charger (£30 ish) and it tells me they now have a capacity of 847mAh! Yes they are cheap, but you get what you pay for!

Then I suggest you report the matter to your local Trading Standards Office!

Or get yourself a decent charger that doesn't ruin them. I have one with delta technology which cost less than a tenner.

"The complete charge capacity will be reached after ca. 5 charging procedures"
as stated on back of back.

Trading standards..'Dear Mr. Trading Standards my £2.49 pack of batteries after a year of light use have less than half the capacity as stated on the box'...NO JUST BUY BETTER BATTERIES!
You get what you pay for. That’s all.

I will be using the refresh mode on my BL-700, see if capacity improves.
And I only ever charge them at 200mAh.

Oh and this offer is not nationwide, it's local to your area.

Does your "delta technology" charger tell you the actual capacity of the batteries? And what options are there for the charge current?

Nice charger!

Nice charger!

It is! sadly, it's not cheap and I have never seen it on special offer. It is nice to know the actual real capacity of a battery though, and it does a good job of maximising the capacity of them..it can take several days!

The only problems I have ever had with ANY rechargeable batteries have been from Lidl ansd Aldi oddly enough, yet I have one of the Lidl Chargers (not current, but some stores might still have them), and when I first got that found it restored the performance of a few of these which I was ready to throw out!
It also does a partial discharge then recharge cycle.

Regardless of the price of these, I would still not buy them any more, as once used, the "new technology" type are a complete revelation (Hybrio/Eneloop/ReCycko/Instants - I currently pay no more than £10.50 for 8xAAs).

They mean in practical terms that charged batteries will effectively always be ready to use, whereas this older type will often be next to useless when you most need them, meaning you will still feel the need to buy & keep exorbitant wasteful disposables at hand.

I haven't bought or used one disposable battery all year.

Rare circumstances mean you might get better results from higher capacity batteries, but you will need to have them fairly freshly charged, and unless you are the sort that uses up sets of batteries on a daily basis and always meticulously charge them before use, then fair enough; but if, like me you use batteries intermittently and/or are not ultra organised, then it is just like having disposables at hand!

HOT, good price. Much better than the Morrisons "4 million sh*tty batteries for £1" deal.

I bought 2 packs of these batteries 2.5 years ago (when they were 50p cheaper), thinking they may not be very good given the price.
As you can see above, 1 pack still remains unopened as the first pack are still going strong.

can't believe you have still got a receipt for the batteries from 2 years ago:p

I've heard the aldi batteries are better than the Lidl ones.

Nor can I.
It just happened to be in the bag with the unopened packet of batteries

Hi
