Played the trial and seems a pretty decent game.

£16.99 in Sainsbury of not got a Smyths local. picked it up on Thursday 0

Heard its rubbish though? Any opinion of this game anyone?

It's got it's moments. It's not really my kind of game, but if you like platformer / explorer type games you might like it. There's some good gun combat, and the platforming is firm but fair - you never feel cheated if you miss a jump.

AI is alright (now they've fixed it), load times are sorted now. If you like games like that, it's deffo worth 15quid.

I bought it for £15 knowing it generally hadn't been received well but had enjoyed the half hour trial and thought it was my thing however I've been really disappointed with it. It's not a bad game but there's a lot of frustrations with it, the game feels good to start with but it quickly falls apart - the targetting/shooting system completely falls apart when faced with many enemies at close range (which you're forced to do repeatedly later on), the exploring concept is badly implemented (rather than block you off, you just get killed if you stray into an area you're not meant to go into) and the general progression is messy, it's super simple for your character and it's far too complex and badly thought out for your companion bot. In most games you unlock more skills progressively and you keep them all but with Recore you can only choose to take two skills with you at a time and if you reach a point that needs a different skill you have to go all the way back to your base, change the skill then work your way back to where you were.

I eventually gave up on the game as I was finding the many flaws to be really frustrating and couldn't recommend it.
