What inputs does this have?

Confusing as it says 1 x HDMI (doesn't say whether it's in/out, assume out) and no Optical OUT. But doesn't mention any inputs. Would be great if it had Optical IN but I doubt it at this price. RCA input would do!

Sorry to be dumb for a second - but I can sack off the DVD player, and use my BluRay player in the middle instead?

Not bothered about 7.1, but can you get 5.1 BluRay?

Doesnt say how the speakers connect to the DVD player... But I would have thought you could perhaps plug them into the TV or BluRay or something... Or is my grasp of AudioVisual just appauling

Looks to be the same as this: ebuyer.com/320…zGw

Which means no audio inputs for surround. Was optimistic :-)

That looks like a different one to me.

assuming it is the DVD6091 (also seems to be badged curtis elsewhere) then it has seperate 5 channel inputs so if your blu ray player has 5.1 separate outputs (ie front left, front right, rear left, rear right and centre connections) then yes you could probably hook this up to your blu ray or any other device with separate outputs. doesnt do decoding onboard though so wont be able to use optical, coaxial or hdmi inputs into it!

the dvd player has optical, coax and HDMI outpts on it but not inputs.

Woo! Poor sound quality coming at you from six direction, heat added.

Is this a joke or are these for a dolls house?

youd get much better sound out of a decent 2.1 set like these for cheaper logitech.com/en-…795

The eBuyer and Amazon links are exactly the same

anyway it may be a useless pile of poo but seems the best price for the product at the moment so heat anyway lol

Sorry, my bad. I got confused! Both the Amazon and the Ebuyer links show different ones to the Sainsbury's one. They look similar but not quite the same.

I think they are the same. It's just the remote which looks slightly different in colour, but the rest looks identical to me.

No, the dvd player looks quite different. The Sainsbury's one has the slot near enoguh in the middle, the Amazon/Ebuyer ones show it to the left. The speakers and subwoofer however look very similar. Wonder if the specs are the same?
