Is it just the branding that makes them a bargain or are the good quality items?
Hair clippers might be ok, the last ones i bought from Lidl were great and lasted many years.
I'll buy a set next sunday i think.

Heat.

I suppose the question is who actually makes these or what are they rebadged versions of? I suppose the fact that it has a 3 year warranty means that it could well be worth a go.

Bought a set of Silvercrest for £14 last year and was highly impressed. Best clippers I have ever owned and I've had Remington and Wahl costing 4x as much. Lithium Ion battery, digital power display and better build quality right down to the clips. If these are made by Silvercrest I wouldn't hesitate.

Might try the shaver as I've never had a dry shave before and I've been shaving probably 20 years!

The ones i had were Silvercrest. 1 hr charge, lithium battery, ceramic cutters and an lcd display. Lasted me 6 or 7 years before the battery finally died only a few months ago. They still work fine corded, but as i cut my own hair, i find it easier to user cordless.
Will definitely be checking these out.

I've had many electric shavers over the years and always go back to wet shaving with a blade. So i'll pass on that shaver.

Exactly. I've a King of Shaves trimmer that is actually built by Wahl, just licensed branding on it.

Try this one. I've had it for a while. Gives a nice close shave. Free delivery to store.
Oh yes, in for some body grooming ! No more nicks on the saddlebags !
Picked up the hair clipper one this morning. First impressions are that it looks the business, well made and ergonomic. It has lithium battery with only a 1hr charge time. Without using the comb attachments, it has micro adjustment that goes down to 0.5mm cut. Plus integrated switch for thinning.
Gonna buzz cut my hair down to 0.5 tonight to see how good it cuts.

The rest of the Red Bull leccy grooming stuff also looked worth buying if you use them.

Used this clipper last night. It cuts well and trims down short enough for me with the lowest 0.5 setting and no comb attachment.
There's a few things i dont like about it. The hair clogs around the blade and you have to keep brushing it off throughout the cut. Also because of the thinning function, which i dont use so i leave it retracted in the clipper, this leaves a gap behind the blades so a lot of hair goes into the compartment behind the blades. This means you have to clip the blade off after every cut to brush this hair out, the blade is then really fiddly to clip back on.
Its also louder than my last clipper from Lidl.
Trying to decide if these issues are enough of an annoyance for me to send it back.

Thanks Jeff. Bought one myself and a body groomer. Not had the hair clipper out as yet, but I also have a Braun multi-clipper and the head only looks marginally wider on the Lidl version, so might stick with the Braun and return this one, especially if it has so many design issues.
Took the hair clippers back to day and got a refund. The hair constantly clogging around and behind the blades was just too irritating for me.
If they hadn't of had the badly designed integrated thinning device that left a large gap when it wasn't being used, these clippers probably would have been ok.
So back to using my old ones, that only work corded now..... and back to the search for new ones.
