Finally finished the story the other day, at about 93% completion in total.

The awkward controls, overly complicated systems* and sluggish movement take some getting used to. But once you're in, it's utterly immersive and an unforgettable experience. The story is too long but it does have a satisfying payoff.

*most of which are pretty much optional - hunting, cooking, crafting add immersion but can easily be replaced by sleeping and picking up stuff from shops and dead bodies.

P. S. Use Cinematic mode as an auto-travel.
Great deal... pretty lackluster game imho
Anyone that criticises this game does not appreciate the depth of story, cinematic style or the developers intentions. The game’s style is deliberately paced in a way where you take it in properly. It’s a 10/10 masterpiece and a steal at this price, buy if you haven’t already.

I must admit, Im fed up of the game as its boring having to ride for ages, all over the map.....if theres a way around this, please expand!

its just the way the camera behaves during horse riding, you can set the camera to cinematic mode and your horse will automatically just ride along the path to your intended location so you can basically put the controller down while its doing that, but then something unexpected might happen during your ride so you still have to be aware of whats happening, even if your horse is leading the way so you can quickly regain control and deal with it. still, it beats having to actually control the horse during *most* of the ride.

Look forward to it being this price on xbox.
Great game, played it relentlessly when it 1st came out then sold it, may have to get it again at this price
Glad I didn't get it went it was £20, will bite now!
7 months it has taken me to plat. Great game. Well worth the £30 I paid.
Whoa, that's a steal!! No excuse for anyone who hasn't gotten it by now. Surprisingly the Xbox One version retains it's £22 price, so I'm guessing this is either a mistake they will fix shortly, or they've had a sudden influx of trade-ins for the PS4 version and lowered the price accordingly to get rid of excess stock.

I think I gave up like 75% of the way through with other releases. Had the game since release day and still not finished. It’s a work of art in some ways but I feel it’s too much like that rather than the fun I had with the original RDR.
Shocking price, heat

Agree with using cinematic mode for travelling! I was almost about to give up on the game as I found the horse riding long distances way too boring (my opinion), cinematic mode travelling sorted that issue and now enjoying the game a lot more! Glad I didn't give up on it.
I bought from ebay xbox version 16£ thx for the heads up.

The PS4 Read Dead bundle comes with the gamma chassis. I would wager that most pros sold come with this game (mine did). I would imagine there are loads more PS4 copies knocking around.

That's it exactly.
If you use the Arabian horse you can ride anywhere on the map in Cine mode and it doesn't get tired. The best thing is you don't have to keep battering the X button to maintain pace- this was a poor design choice IMO, having to keep pressing the button to run.

Obviously, fast travel like in RDR1 would've been best.

How onerous was the online part of the plat?
I commented on previous deals that this game was overhyped.

Admittedly after giving it more time, I’m finding it’s a fantastic game. So yeah, I was wrong!
Amazingly this game has not held up its price as well as GTA5 which is still £18 at CEX.

Lackluster? What do you consider good? This game is great, not the online but the story is amazing

Maybe I should add I did a money/gold glitch and bought the best guns, horses/upgrades, etc I started to enjoy the game a lot more when I started to focus on missions, probably not recommended but for me I feel like i started enjoying the game a lot more after I stopped worrying about cash, especially when I changed my slow horse to a fast horse

Given how long the GTA V remaster on PS4/Xbox One held its value I never expected RDR2 to drop this low so quickly. Its a slow burner but immersive and phenomenal from a technical standpoint.
Just got one. Now I’ve got to see how long the updates will take.
spiderman still 30 quid.... unchartered 4 back to 8 quid ..... far cry new dawn still holding at 20 quid
Is this price today only?
The greatest story ever told in video game. Never more engrossed or invested in a main character than Arthur Morgan. It starts slow but once it gets going it's breathtaking. Even with having to traverse by horse. No real short cuts or quick travel (there is but not really). Stunning .
Hope the price holds out until my next visit, been waiting for a while and will use up my voucher nicely.
I like doing wheelies on my horse!
With the money saved here I finally get to go to Tahiti with the family!
Is this price new or used?

If used the game systems have it for new at £15.49 + £3 delivery as an alternative.

Unfortunately it didn’t grip me enough to want to finish it. Felt a little slow and got briefly spoiled by someone, but even then it felt a bit of a drag. Maybe the mechanics of the game felt a bit awkward/sluggish for me as I preferred the simplicity of the first game. RDR1 lacked the finesse, but the pacing was much better to keep me playing. Then again we’re comparing a game I played in my teens, to the sequel I’m playing where “gaming time” is limited.

Noooooooooo!

Noooooooooo!

It’s annoying that the ending got ruined for me. I’ll probably finish it up this weekend after all these months, rather than start it again (even if that means watching a cutscene movie up until the part i’m on). I remember bits leading up to where I am but it did knock my motivation to continue.

Still a quality game, but that spoiler and the clunky mechanics made me go meh. I suppose it’s about the journey.
Thanks OP,was going to buy this from Game yesterday for £20 but then decided against it,glad I did now as managed to take in some old PS3 games so didn’t cost me a penny.

Can’t wait to try this out on my OLED as it’s meant to look stunning in HDR.
I’ve never been so underwhelmed by a game as I have been with this. It just isn’t fun to play. Maybe I’m getting too old for video games as I just don’t have the time to invest in them anymore. Even driving games these days are over complicated. I don’t need a campaign in a driving game! I’ve found myself playing more retro games these days, when they used to be fun.

No. Comes with a 24 months warranty to you really can’t go wrong at this price.
