If you're like me and still want to be a part of the physical master race or if you just want a grab the game for a lower price please follow the instructions below:
(Amazon "top up in store" currently have a promotion whereby if you top up £30 you get £10 free promotional credit)

1. Click on the following link: amazon.co.uk/b?i…031. Scan the barcode onto either your mobile device or print it off.

2. With that barcode go to a participating store that offers the PayPoint service (Check on the following link where your local store is:consumer.paypoint.com/) with £30 cash only (will not work using a debit or credit card) and the barcode will be scanned by the cashier once you give payment.

3. £30 top up balance will automatically be applied to your Amazon balance which then gives you £10 free promotional credit. This then leaves you to pay the remaining balance of £9.99.

4. Click on the following link: amazon.co.uk/Red…n+2 to buy now and when at check out you'll see that instead of paying the full price of £49.99, you have paid in total £39.99.

This means I have to put my pants on, leave my house, interact with real people AND get some of that dirty cash stuff!

Good price though

Yes I have to collect it but there is far too much messing around trying to get a pound or two off of a AAA game.£45 is well worth it to me for the amount of hype release it'll give me.

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon for £37....all I had to do was order it two years ago. Simples.
Are people really too lazy to go to your local shop, which is probably less than a mile away?

Heat from me.

Sounds too much hassle for £10

If you need to go through this much effort to save a few £ on game prices you probably should not be buying games tbh.....

That is a bit mental just to save £3 to 5 quid.
You don't need to do any of this..... The simple way to explain this (as I have done this promo on every account) is just go to your nearest paypoint (Amazon registered) shop. Then just ask for a £30 Amazon top up....

That is it! That is literally all you do, if you have more than one Amazon account then ask for 2 separate £30 Amazon top ups...

They give you a receipt with a code on it. Providing you've never topped on Amazon with an in-store top up you are eligible. You just add the code as you would any gift card, and as quick as a flash you have £30 gift card balance and an email stating you have £10 promo credit to use on any item sold and dispatched by Amazon.

No links to click, no barcodes to show, literally just ask for a £30 Amazon top up....

Good on you OP for giving people another option! Regardless on whether they've used this path before. You should be encouraged! I'm voting this post up!
I'll be buying RDR2 for 20 quid in the boxing day sales.
Not sure why this is being voted cold. A great deal.

People saying it’s too much effort, my local corner shop we’re able to add credit to PayPoint so worth looking around.

If GTA is anything to go by no you won't. If you do let me know because I'll get an Xbox copy too.

Thanks for sharing. Actually used this method about 2 weeks ago and it was extremely quick and easy.
‘If you're like me and still want to be a part of the physical master race..’

Deals not for me, cause I’m not dorky enough to classify myself as a master race.

Nazi-pool, out.

Bought GTA 5 a couple of times from tesco direct for about £20 in 2016

but yeah cant see rdr2 going below 30 till late next year ( unless multiplayer flops )
Great idea, thanks
Why is this voted cold. It's the cheapest way to buy the game. This website never ceases to amaze.

Waiting for reviews. Anything below a 9 and I'm gonna wait til Christmas. Got other games to finish first.
Thank you OP. Just managed to top up now - £10 confirmation email received immediately.
Cheers for this, got the £10 extra for topping up and just ordered. Was going to just pick a copy up at GAME in the morning but at £39.99 with this method i don't mind waiting for the delivery driver.

Was really easy, just had the barcode page left open on my phone, the guy scanned it, went home and both the top up and the £10 free were already on my account.

Oh and doesn't need to be paid for in cash only like the OP says, I paid by debitcard.

Yeah. I was trying to not get too hyped up but seeing all the 10/10', "masterpiece" etc reviews i'll probably end up waking at 5 in the morning and guzzling coffee until the delivery driver chaps the door, which knowing my luck will be at 6pm.
Nothing wrong with a free tenner. Thanks OP! Got RDR2 for £40, a quick walk and some almost fresh air.

Some people don't like recycled deals.

Also, the deal isn't exclusive to this item. The actual deal is getting £10 promotional credit which can be spent on loads of other stuff so most people would be better off buying rdr2 for £45 then saving the credit for an item that is cheapest on amazon before the credit is applied. Using the credit on this is a waste unless you don't think you'd spend it at all otherwise which is pretty unlikely with amazon credit.

That's fair enough. Personally i only regularly browse sections like gaming, on most others i tend to just do a specific search for the item i'm after, so probably would have missed the free credit offer without this post bringing it to my attention.

Yeah I don't mind recycling deals otherwise I'd miss a lot of them too but I still think most people would be better off saving the credit for something that's not cheaper elsewhere.
Spot on easy to use. Went to the shop scanned my barcode and paid using my credit card. Boom a cheeky £10
Mine just shipped, was getting a bit worried seeing as i was pre-ordering the day before release. Phew.

Definitely in the long term with black Friday coming up. I think the cheapest the game is right now elsewhere is £48 so it's an £8 saving now vs a £10 saving on something else down the line. I was trying to justify it in my mind that i might not even buy something in the BF sales (the £10 expires at the end of Nov) but who am i kidding.
Thanks op. I wasn't gonna buy until I saw this. Worked perfect at just the right price point
Still works! Why would you down vote this?
