Red Dead Redemption for PS3 or XBox 360 for just £20.99.

I, like many invested in a PS3 solely to play GT5 but a friend lent me/bullied me into playing this game, which in fairness I wasn't keen on; Grand Theft Auto but without any cars? It did not sound appealing! But my scepticism was ill-judged to say the least and after about 10 mins playing Red Dead Redemption, I was totally hooked on this game! It's utterly compelling, thus I need a copy of my own!

This is the cheapest I could find this epic game, which is usually around the £25-30 mark from Amazon/Play/Zavvi, etc.

3.5% Quidco available too, which brings the price down to £20.26.

From the manufacturers...

"Red Dead Redemption is an open-world, third-person, action-adventure game set at the tail end of the American West West era. Action takes place in the first few years of the twentieth century and revolves around the choices that the protagonist, former outlaw John Marston, is forced to make due to his blemished past. The game features a morality system assigning honor and fame points generated through the player's choices. It also features Wild West themed mini-games, new targeting and cover systems, extensive horse riding abilities, a wealth of period specific weapons and more than 40 huntable animals."

Best price around.

Best price around.

Its not.

£14.95 pre-owned on both formats at Blockbuster. You get no special bonuses for having it new so 6 quid less means that this is a cold deal.

Thanks Tom

It's the best price around for new, also id much rather have it new than have it second hand, you also have no scratches on it

The thing with pre-owned games that worries me is that some companies use a machine to take a small skim off the disc before they re-sell them (so I was told anyway). That may be fine the first time the game gets traded in and re-sold but what happens if this process is used on a game a few times. It might look shiney and with no scratches but would there be problems with the disk?

New and sealed for me; and sometimes you have to buy new, unless you don't mind people calling you **** for giving pre-owned games as presents!

I'll generally only ever buy pre-owned games if it's an obscure, long-deleted title (Destruction Derby for PS1 for example) or if something's so cheap, it's worth buying as a spare.

Cold?

I suppose £20.99 is a bit steep when you're used to buying knock-off games from a Sunday car-boot for £5 a pop.

Can the cold-voters enlighten me as to where we can purchase this (new & sealed) game from for less money?

No idea why this is cold. Hot from me anyway

Good price for NEW

Good deal!

This is a hot deal, you can't compare New with Used, I bought Assassins Creed 2 second hand and it worked for a while but now everytime I goto the Villa it freezes, that was the first and last second hand game i'll ever buy.

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot how hard it is to ask for a disc in mint condition! Considering most stores are overloaded with copies of this, theres a high chance to get a disc in good condition.

Of course if you get it on PS3 then the disc will be scratch free as a guarentee.

Unless you plan on reselling it in as new condition, it really doesnt matter wether its new or used. Some people just like being picky.

I don't understand why this deal is cold, wanting it to be brand new in that fresh wrapper is completely different from buying preowned. Heat added from me.

Not a boilig dea

Agreed, not a boiling deal but certainly not cold!

It was the best price at the time and that's what this site is for. I bought it but still thought it was quite expensive for a game that's been out a while. Would have waited until it got to around the £15 mark but bought Undead Nightmare for £13.37 from Zavvi and didn't want to play that until I played Red Dead first.
