Back to Earth takes place after ‘series ten’. Kochanski is dead and the crew are hurled through a portal and discover they are just characters from a TV series. Knowing they will die in the final episode the Dwarfers, in best Blade Runner traditions, decide to track down their creators to discover how long they have left to live. First the crew attempt to track down the actors who play them in the series and their metaphysical odyssey begins…

Features both a Director's Cut version of Back to Earth and the original televised version

Originally a fan of Red Dwarf I thought it lost it's way completely after series 6, is this any good?

Directors cut?! There were bits of this drivel they cut out?!!!

They shouldn't have bothered this.
I had to force myself to watch the whole thing when it was on telly, just in case it got funny. It didn't.

I agree with CountFilth.

Crikey Mr Wedge...just looked at your profile. I thought I spent too much time on this site!

Red Dwarf...must by definition be hot.

No, this was terrible. Agree'd about series 6 though. I forced myself to watch the next two seasons and then gave up.

If you're a fan of everything Red Dwarf was, and you haven't seen this, consider yourself blessed, and never do so. Lister running into Craig Charles on the set of Coronation Street in one part was enough to make me physically wince.

I was a fan of Red Dwarf back in the day but this barely raised a chuckle. The show took a nosedive after series 6 when Rob Grant left.
