Series Five to Eight of the smash hit comedy series created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor.

Three million years into deep space Dave Lister continues to eat his way through the ship's curry supplies and navigate his way back to Earth. Alongside him: Arnold J Rimmer, his former bunkmate, now resurrected as a hologram; Kryten, their neurotic sanitation mechanoid; the self-serving Cat; and their constantly confused computer, Holly.

Along the way they'll be brought back to reality, lose their mothership, become stranded on Starbug, bump into Lister's ex-girlfriend and find themselves back on Red Dwarf where the original crew have been resurrected by nanobots.

Red hot! Picked up Just The Shows Series 1-4 for a bargain price (9.99 I think) a couple of years back, so this will complete the collection nicely!!

I hate to say but I've yet to own S5-S8

Yeah, but you'd hate it even more if you did own seasons 7 and 8, trust me.

When I saw you for the first time (first time)
My knees began to quiver (quiver)
And I got a funny feeling (feeling)
In my kidneys and my liver (digestive system baby)
My hands they started shakin' (shakin')
My heart began a-thumpin' (boom, boom, boom)
My breakfast left my body (huey, huey, huey)
Now darling tell me somethin.'

I dont get the hate towards series 7 and 8, i love them.

7+8 = terrible

pretty much after 5 it goes to the dogs imo

The comic relief special was a bit of a dissapointment. Lots of obvious jokes and framed very much for first time viewers, which is always a shame for a cult comedy show.

Seasons 1-4 were the best, but that's subjective - this is still a good deal [Even better if it has the special episode with Ainslee Harriet: Can't Smeg, Won't Smeg]

Series seven and eight were awful, with some good parts. Four was the best, then Three, Then 2, Then Six
Massive egos of Craig Charles and Doug Naylor ended up spoiling a classic series. Chris Barry and Rob Llewellyn are interesting to listen to on the subject, reading between the lines, they weren't too keen on Charles.
Danny John Jules is a really nice bloke, though. Met him at a Star Trek/Red Dwarf convention p*ss-up in Leicester years back. Much smaller than I thought. Fair bit smaller than me, and I'm not tall as such.

I like series 5 and 6 personally.

It is a shame about series 7 and 8 though.
