Warning: It says Red Faction 2 doesn't support DX10 (i.e. modern) graphics cards. I think this means it won't even run, not just that it doesn't give you DX10 quality.

I have a HD5770. You have to patch Red Faction 2 before playing but it is simple to do.

ooo wonder what the other steam deals will be for the next few days, hate them when they do these kind of deals as i always tend to buy a few of the games each time

Does patching the Steam version work OK?

Original Poster

@alasrati I wondered the same and after some research, It's 100% alright. Steam only deliver these games. They don't moderate them unless they're Valve created games which Red Faction games are not

Patching fine though might want to disabled auto update in case, been patching several games.
Probably Dawn of War 1, 2, CR and Darksiders

Coolio, thanks for the info.

So is Red Faction 2 any good then?

great package!! lets break up the scenery!!

Bargain. Bought Guerilla.

I enjoyed RF1 some years ago (on my Geforce 4200!!) but was disappointed with RF2, didn't bother picking it up after playing the demo.

Can anyone say if they found Guerilla any good?

Heat from me.

I recently completed guerilla and have to say I really enjoyed it. Think i picked it up for about £8 on disc, for under £4 you really can't go wrong

Personally I think that RF2 is not as good as the first game, plus it seems to be significantly harder as well. RF Guerrilla is pretty good, but the game play is quite different to RF.

After playing all three. My favourite has to be Red Faction 1. It just seems more complete

It's prices like this that make me wish I didn't have a monthly download limit.

Heat added.

Guerilla is brilliant it in my opinion outdid GTAIV as the best sandbox game this gen untill Red Dead released anyway.

@alasrati You might aswell get all three at that price. First time I played RF1 was a few months ago and loved it. A bit dated but at its core, a good game. Pretty long aswell. Red Faction 2 is pretty short in comparison but still good. Red Faction Guerrilla is good due to the sandbox, story and the destructibility

Bump this, RF:G is a solid title but i wouldnt pay more than a fiver for it (some of us pre-ordered the console version like a fool, lol )

I have a very large backlog of Steam games to work through as it is and £1.24 is a lot less than £6.22. Besides there might be other stuff to waste my money on later in the week. (_;)

Cheers OP. Heat added.

Just bought it at 9:30am on the 26th, so I'm assuming no one at Steam has pressed the 'Tuesday' button yet.

Cheers,

The "tuesday" button is usually around 4pm uk time.

Been playing Guerilla and it's well worth £3 of anyone's money.
