"Blood Sugar Sex Magik" by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers was an album that changed the face of rock on its release in 1991. "The Making of Blood Sugar Magik" reveals the in-studio turmoil that led to the band's career-best selling recording, as well as the phenomenal impact it had on the way the public viewed rock music in the early 90s. In a step by step account of the making of a classic, McIver examines the interaction of the musicians and producer Rick Rubin behind the scenes, as well as including a previously unpublished interview with Chillis drummer Chad Smith, who graphically recalls those troubled times.

I picked this up... good book.

BTW, In case anyone's interested other books in the 'Vinyl Classic' series I've seen in Poundland include:
*Rolling Stones and the Making of Let it Bleed (Vinyl Frontier)
*The "Who": And the Making of "Tommy" (Vinyl Frontier)

Has anyone bought this book, read it and wishes to sell it on?
