Cheap, but I'm not a fan. Food isnt great, though they try to make up for it by giving you loads of it.

News Story
Order a non-alcoholic drink and get an alcoholic one instead

good value, food quality varies but at £7.50 each can't complain too much

Terrible terrible food. The worst buffet I've ever eaten at.

Not long since this place was shutdown for breaking food hygiene codes, trying to draw business back in with these deals

The Northampton Red Hot was literally that a year or so ago:

http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article9015418.ece/alternates/w620/red-hot-northampton-fire-yo.jpg

It was never re-opened and instead Chiquitos and Coast to Coast are opening on the site shortly - no idea why they didnt re-open - perhaps the insurance payout was an opportunity to get out and cut their loses? And I'm not saying it was an insurance job before any lawyers read this!! The cause was an electrical fault in one of the toilets from what I remember

Is this any red hot or Manchester?

Great deal. This makes it no more expensive than any other buffet yet so much more to choose from. I've only been once to the Liverpool one at Christmas but would hope to go again. I thought both quality and quantity were great and the range of deserts is a rarity. The other people I was with also very much enjoyed. Don't know why everyone is complaining, maybe each restaurant varies greatly.

I assume you get a voucher?

If so when does this expire??

Thanks

The Liverpool branch 'voluntarily' shut down to address food safety concerns recently (where 'voluntarily' means they closed before being shut down by the Council). It got a 0 rating when last inspected on 19th January.

In fairness, the other locations are far better (although some haven't been inspected for a while)...

Just brought one, hope you can use it in the evening.

Great deal, food is excellent at Manchester. Oh add £6 for the parking being in the citycentre.

I love the desserts there. Fresg waffles and pancakes. Parking is a killer in manchester. Anyone know any cheap parking nearby?

I'll try and post a map but on the corner of Deansgate, where red hot is located, just 25m down that road is where Salford City Council area starts and their free on street parking starts at 6pm whereas Manchester it's 8pm.

Here we go - Map from Salford City Council
Area shaded green is what they control and it's free after 18:00
Red Hot World Buffet is located just where you can see where the big 'M' on the map, to left of that where it say A6, that's it.

I parked on Booth St or Clowes St

Thanks so much loofer x

It would be more sanitary to drop your home cooked meal onto the bath room floor, stamp on it a few times then scoop it up and it, then to eat at some of these Restaurants.

Wow, worst plumber ever! oO

I've been to the ones in Leicester and Nottingham, too bad there's none in London

Wow, did not even know they gave a rating for Zero, thought they just closed the doors
at that level, nice info and worth looking for, prior to going to eat at some that say that
"they certificate is in the post!" and it is clearly not!

Didn't think the food was that great at the Manchester site and certainly wouldn't go back at full price.

If there was then they would quite possibly be excluded from this offer anyway.

Whilst buffets are generally quantity over quality, Red Hot is probably one of the worst. There is lots of food and huge variety, but in general all the cheap crap. For example, they have an Indian section - but when you go and look at the starters, there's about 5 different types of bhaji but there's no lamb shish or the red chicken tikka etc. Same thing with the rest of the international food - a lot of the time the more cheap/rubbish variants done several times. If you go to other buffets that aren't world food at least you get a good selection of that country's type.

OK if you are a member of the big brown dinner crowd who think the hallmark of a good meal is feeling sick from over-eating cheap processed crap but otherwise avoid.

How is the Nottingham one please?

Nottingham one is fine - I've been a few times with work colleagues and come out with the belly the size of a football. I echo the sentiments, however, that the more exotic stuff tends to go quite early in the evening, so well worth going as early as you can to get the best selection.

Still not worth it

Thanks, people grumble but for £7 per person you cannot really complain.

VILE!

Have some heat as my son has chosen to go here to celebrate his 15th birthday tomorrow( wouldn't be my own choice!). Just ordered and saved myself a few quid!!

Red Hot Buffet in Liverpool was closed down by the food hygiene squad for a week.

Best to swerve it if you ask me.

Actually you are probably best of eating somewhere that has closed down and reopened, the EHO will be riding their asses for months.
I have worked in kitchens for years, and I can assure you it doesn't matter what you pay or how many M*'s a place has, bad or good hygiene is governed by the staff that work there.

Worst buffet I've ever had. The Cardiff one serves up bland, depressing food and left me feel bloated. I've been twice. Once was enough for me but my partner insisted on giving it a second chance. I wont be going back.

I find its good value for money, it doesn't just have filler foods, there's real meat I. E lamb attack etc. It is totally worth it in my opinion. I suggest going to the evening buffet as there's alot more on offer. The Nottingham Ham is near the cinema just down the road

Thank you. Yeah, I have seen it a couple of times passing through. Looking forward to going once I finish my uni work!

Just purchased mine

Dreadful food even the toilet complained the next morning.

Certainly not worth the standard 15 quid per person.

Tops is the better (and cheaper, at standard price) option in Manchester.
