Red Letter Days Code Stack with Quidco/Amex - eg 64% off

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Edit. I have removed Buyagift from the post just in case. The Amex cashback says RedLetterDays, and even though you Amex statement will say Buyagift, the purchase does say RLD when you look into the details.

NOTE - I have not included a link as this is a code stack deal where you MUST go though Quidco, and, will only apply if you use the discount code on their site, AND 1) you have activated premium in settings, 2) use an Amex card which has the RLD cashback deal (and you pay with Amex), 3) Spend £177 minimoum before codes applied.

They pulled the 44% they were offering on Friday (previous posted deal) - This is still pretty good...

Quidco have a voucher for 15% off RedLetterDays (BLACKFRIDAY15) and if you sign up to premium (£1 per month when you are earning cashback) they are currently offering 33% cashback on top if you spend over £150. On top of that, if you have an Amex card, they may have 25% cashback on RLD too - check your account.

Example -
£200 purchase
Cost - £170 (with Quidco code)
Quidco cashback - £56.10
Amex cashback - £42.50
Actual cost = £71.40

Thanks for the reminder. I bought a £179 Deluxe 2 night stay with dinner at the weekend. Annoyed the cashback rate has gone UP! Is it confirmed the Amex cashback will work for Buyagift too as that would be useful!
Didn’t realise the cashback would still be paid from Amex if use buyagift, would like this confirmed before I take the plunge though.
You’ll only get 22% cash back if the code is used, not 33%.
Just made a purchase and cashback doesn't seem to work for Buyagift through Amex.

Works well with RedLetterDays though.
Hmm, strangely the Amex statement entry shows "BUYAGIFT, ENFIELD" when you buy through RLD.

I was convinced that I last bought via BAG, but looking at the transaction in detail, it says RLD. So you may not get the Amex cb buying from BAG, but definitely do from RLD (even if the statement says BAG)

(unless someone else can confirm)

Takes at least 24hrs to appear
So to clarify OP, you are saying that if you have 25% off Red Letter Days via AMEX, that you can use the Buyagift website instead? And that the AMEX cashback will still definitely track and pay out?

Sounds like it would work, but has anyone tried this to be 100% sure?

I'll keep an eye out. The red letter amex cash back was instant.

Cheers.

I can't be 100% sure. The only thing I can say for certain is that when you but something from RLD, the Amex statement says BAG.

Don't they sell the same thing?

Since it's the same quidco cashback for both, may be safer to only buy from RLD to be 100% sure.

Mine was a day later the first use. My big purchase hasn't come through yet cashback wise, yet was purchased Friday am.
So it’s a gamble then? How do you know you will get the cash Back? I’m looking at the champneysbreak for £884 and if I don’t get the cash back it’s quite a loss isn’t it?

If you buy from RLD, have activated the offer on your Amex card, pay via Quidco making sure you use a browser that doesn't have cookies from previous sessions, use the BLACKFRIDAY15 code, you should be ok. Quidco is never guaranteed - but if it tracks, it normally does quite quickly.

I bought at 10:07, got Quidco tracked email 5 mins later. As I used the code from the their site it shouldn't be declined.

I did a Champneys break too.

I have ordered with the code, clicking the 22% link but my purchases have tracked at 33%. It looks like if you are Premium you get the higher rate.

This deal should have got way more heat. I've just spend over £700 on a variety of 2 night breaks and meal vouchers. £139 hotel voucher nets to £50, £30 Prezzo voucher nets to £10 and even the Gaucho in Edinburgh was worth it at £42 for three courses for two with Prosecco (the 15% didn't apply to that). That's nights out and trips away for the next 6 months sorted!

Now to see what they want for the weekend supplement for the 2 night breaks!
Was too busy yesterday to look for things I wanted to buy using this and it looks like the voucher code and higher cashback rate have ended (15% now). Cashback is still 22% at TCB for order over £150 so probably still a decent saving to combine that with the Amex offer and a great deal but still gutted to have missed this

Edit: Might be worth noting this in the T&Cs on Quidco, can't see any similar blanket statements on TCB so may be a better bet anyway:

What will stop me earning cashback?
If you participate in any other offer/ promotion that is not covered in the retailer Cashback rates

Yeah I don't think it's worth the risk. I was only asking as sometimes Buyagift have good voucher codes offers, whilst Red Letter Days don't, and vice-versa. So it would have been useful to know whether AMEX worked on both websites, as then you could just purchase from the one with the best voucher code.

When using TCB or Quidco for Red Letter Days or Buyagift, you can only use the voucher codes listed on their respective pages. If you use another voucher code from anywhere else, there is a high chance your cashback will be declined.

I understand that, but the Amex discount isn't a voucher code. The Quidco T&C's include a clause against participating in 'any other offer/promotion', TCB doesn't mention this so in theory the Amex discount shouldn't affect it.
My Amex went through fine. £69 credited and £121 tracked.

That is just standard T&C's, getting AMEX shouldn't affect TCB or Quidco. AMEX cashback should be processed separately and independently of cashback websites.
