Love Red Tape shoes from Express Trainers. Dirt cheap but actually decent quality. Only problem is wifey has banned me from buying any more after I went a little bit mad & bought ten pairs in rapid succession!

Can anybody tell me if the sole of these shoes makes a lot of noise when walking on a wooden floor?

Can't say for sure but the rubber outsole & heel would suggest these are relatively quiet shoes. If they're not, I think you get free returns with Express Trainers (not that I'd ever needed to return anything).

These look decently soft. Are they any good for daily use? I work a relatively "active" office job, and my current pair of formals are starting to fall apart.

Made the mistake of wearing trainers while I was doing stock take the other week and made me realise just how uncomfortable my shoes are!

I wear them Monday to Friday for my office job, as too, my older formals were on their last tether. No problems, can't grumble with the price tag, and relatively comfy. (They needed wearing in a bit first)
