Good price for a decent electric guitar and amp set for a beginner - Amazon are selling the guitar alone for £158 so for 26p you're getting an amp, a tuner, a strap, plectra, spare strings and a DVD.

You don't always get an amp lead in these packs so you might want to order one of those too, something like this should be fine: amazon.co.uk/Sta…4G/

I have an old Pacifica.... a great choice for the price, and excellent value for the beginner with the extras included.

Should be alright for a starter.
Don't know about these particular guitars but cheap ones in general come with no adjusting, so worth asking someone who knows to have a look over it for you. If its in a bad way it will turn it from unplayable to able to make a tune with.

these in my opinion are the best starter guitars avalible, they sound and play like a guitar well above the price they cost, make learning much easier than on some crappy Argos number

Can't beat Yamaha for quality in budget guitars

Great starter guitar but a 112 will take you much further. It sounds so much fuller, whereas the 012 sounded a bit thin.

I have a Pacifica 112 that I bought new in 1994, way better built than these modern versions, however this isn't a bad guitar.

Ordered as a Xmas present for my daughter. Let's hpe she doesn't change her mind over the next 3 months...

Heat. Great starter guitar for that price, even without the rest.

Very tempted. Does anyone know for sure whether or not this package includes the cable (the one to connect the guitar to the amp)? There's no mention of it in the "What's included in the package list" but it seems like an strange thing to leave out.

I bought a similar pack earlier this year and it didn't have a cable (but some reviews said it did).

Mine arrived yesterday with NO cable.

When I was starting out and went to buy my first electric - 4 different guitar shops quoted me this as being the best quality/value starter electric. I've ben playing 10 years now and it still sounds fantastic with the same Yamaha amp. Mine didn't come with the lead.
Heat added

prices have gone up a lot on all except blue metallic which has only gone up to £161
