Nice find OP. I would personally recommend Millers EcoMax if you can afford it. Expensive but worth the money IMO
Asda in South Ruislip is doing both the diesel and petrol one of this for £2 as well.

Personally haven't tried millers ... But been using this in my 320i and it really helps.
I personally like the Carplan one, works a treat in the petrol variant with 99 octane. I find Redex a bit smokey. Heat though regardless.

If you have an older diesel car then try it , the newer the car the less likely it will make a difference.
It usually makes a noticeable difference to my 2006 mondeo ( smoother tickover and improved low speed acceleration).
At £2 , if it does not make any difference to your car, simply don't buy it again
About 15 to 20 litres of BP ultimate put in a nearly empty tank I find is very good. We're only really talking about an additive package, having tried them all that gives me the most noticeable results.
Thanks. I'll give it a shot!
Good price but much better off sticking a bottle of Forte Injector Cleaner in with around a 1/4 tank of fuel. Especially on a diesel if it's a few years old.

All these additives are snake oil ! Complete money spinner !
I have tried this Redex one year ago when was for £2 at Tesco and it does absolutely nothing at all. In my case, diesel consumption increased by 0.54l/100km. Car - Toyota Verso 2012, 2l D4D. 193k on the clock. And until then it never had any fuel treatment and no problems were, and mostly supermarket diesel was used ( Sainsburys mainly)

You contradict yourself there. If it literally does nothing at all, what accounted for your increase in fuel use?

It does on cars ECU, as never cars ECU treats this Redex crap as fuel pollutant, and increases consumption to compensate loss. JUST AVOID!

Diesel engines, i use it and car runs smoother, and get better mpg

My snake loves it. Stings a bit though
Do they not do these in poundland lol
I used the petrol one on my focus it felt like it was choking it. Lost i power. Speed and acceleration. The mpg was the same near destroyed my engine.
Two Diesel additives that actually work are Forte if you need a quick engine clean because of maybe an MOT failure on emissions and then Millers ecomax for long term preventative treatment and constant smooth running.
Millers is so noticeably good if you forget to use it for a few months you can actually hear your engine begin to get ropey again!

As for Redex I've tried it made no difference.
Have a look in your car's handbook (you know, that thick book which fills up the glovebox but you've never read it). It'll tell you NOT to put additives into the fuel, just use the correct fuel.
same price at asda.
