I have 500 points can I use points to power the price by another £10?

Confused with minimum 1000 points needed statement on the checkout page.
    Avatar
Yes, go to the mii points centre in the app and click on coupons. Select the £10 . When in the checkout page, add coupon

Good phone, provided you don't need 5G. Well worth £125 though I'm not sure I'd pay £150 for it (getting close in price to 5G phones).
    Avatar
    I have 5G.

    It's nothing special over 4G.

    No one needs 5G.
. So many specs more important than poxy 5G. (edited)

Article is 6 months old and fortunately incorrect. My wife has this phone and it's running MIUI 13 based on android 12.

After adding it to the basket it shows £244 for me with only £25 of a discount. Any advice?

I have this, very glitchy, freezes and requires reset everyday
    Avatar
Not my device buddy, same phone using it a month now and runs very well. Absolutely stunning value for money. Bargain of the year so far for me.

Please try this when you update it to the latest version software version 13..... Factory reset it before using it like new as this solves most issues......

My wife and I bought this phone and we are super happy. Only slight gripe is calls on speaker which are not great as the person you are speaking to cannot hear you very well

Is the phone upgraded to Android 12?

Im looking for an upgrade to my Huawei P9.... its getting on a bit now

Can anyone give me some ideas of hands on experience with this phone and their MIUI?
    Avatar
I love it. Great value for money. Had no problems with MIUI.

What is there terms and condition for return
    Avatar
Someone on another similar deal, had problems within a month, so they invoked a card/bank chargeback after Xiaomi were not responding in a timely fashion. He got refunded & they told him to keep the phone.
Pay with a credit card if you can, which offers greater protection, even over the full warranty period (most likely).

Buy it in the Mi store app, not in a web browser and it should take more money off for you (and you get bonus points when you sign into the app with your Mi account).
    Avatar
    Many thanks, placed £109 order.
  11. Avatar
Not worth £150.. Should be below £120.. Will wait till £120 or below
    Avatar
Worth every penny of £150 due to the Amoled screen, but as stated its been lower.
  12. Avatar
This has been £119-124 quite a few times recently, so if you're not in a hurry...
When the above deals have been on, some managed to get it for £104/109 by referring themselves for a code for a further £15 off. Crazy price then!
Great phone, more so for the lower prices if it doesn't experience any weird glitches that have been plaguing some - most likely a minority.
Bought on behalf of a friend a few weeks back & so far so good, he's well pleased & nice upgrade from his Xiaomi Mi A1 from 2018. MIUI not as pleasant as the A1's pure Android, but the other upgrades & improvements more than make up for it. (edited)

Hi, Please can I ask any recommendations for a nice flip over case for this phone. Many thanks
    Avatar
Just buy a good armoured case and a glass screen protector mate, I drop my phone's alot and mines ok, cost about £20 for both
  24. Avatar
Bargain for a phone of this quality
    Avatar
    I got mine for £109 I doubt it's a bargain, it's near the 5g price area.
  25. Avatar
Bagged a blue one for £99.56 (had >1600 points so bought a £10 off coupon then used the remaining points to knock another £14ish off). CEX trade-in value for the black one is £126! (edited)
    Avatar
You get £150 trade in at CEX thinking of trading the phone unopened and my Apple Watch 3 in for new Apple Watch maybe series 6/7 product red

I assume you don't get cashback from TCB or Quidco while purchasing on app?
Their way of avoiding such cost
    Avatar
Click the referral link on Quidco to track it initially. Buy from app, then put a claim in to Quidco - clicking it earlier should make it visible as a potential claim.

Great phone if you get lucky. I was one of the unlucky ones that suffered from the keyboard constantly disappearing. Very frustrating.
    Avatar
I'm getting the keyboard crashes a lot. STILL trying to find a fix for it

Got one a few weeks back for £114 (with voucher) so would say to wait for it to go back to that price.

Yes in many ways, but the camera could be a noticeable downgrade (subjective) & its graphics (gaming performance) not as good - if these are not hugely important, you will be pleasantly surprised & possibly very impressed!

Seems like a good price… son is moaning about video recording / audio sync lag on his note 8T … will this be a decent upgrade or he also mentioned a pixel 4/5 (used obvs at this price)
  32. Avatar
I have a Note 8 Pro and its been a great phone for the last 2.5 years. Only issue is it doesn't recognise sd card. Anybody know if this phone has the same problem? Thanks
    Avatar
SDcard recognition hasn't been one of the common problems with this phone.
Did you try any troubleshooting at all why this may be happening with the 8 Pro?
For example - checking the card in a card reader connected to a PC/laptop, physically cleaning the card, blowing hard in the slot.... & as a last resort, factory-resetting the phone after a backup.
  33. Avatar
No problem whatsoever with my device. Works really well, get this deal while it last.
    Avatar
Is it upgraded to Android 12?
  34. Avatar
I have a Note 9 pro which I really like. I was hoping to replace my OH phone with a Redmi, but she uses Android Auto quite often and I have not been able to get my Note 9 to connect to her car. Has this problem been adressed in more recent models anyone ?
    Avatar
I had issues with android auto and having dual apps enabled on the note 7.
It worked perfectly after I disabled that feature.
  35. Avatar
To say this phone is not worth £150 is ridiculous. A problem it does have though, is sound quality on speaker phone if the volume is too high (people can't hear you properly).
  36. Avatar
I've only had one purchase from Xiaomi which was a year or so ago. The unit was faulty and i eventually got a refund. I've been wanting to move away from Apple for a while now but i just don't know if I'll miss it. Really want to give this a try, especially since i've had my iphone 12 for 2 years now and just want something different.
    Avatar
If that's the case, I'd strongly recommend going for something more premium with better cameras & at least 5 years of updates, like a Google Pixel or Samsung that were introduced this year - these will also have a much more pleasant UI & come with 5G.
This phone is only 4G & came out in 2021, so only a year more of updates - mid-low range Xiaomi's don't usually receive more than 2 years of updates.
If your budget is low though, then this is certainly one of the best bang for buck Android phones right now.. Some are getting it for £109 after all the discounts today hotukdeals.com/dea…988 - £15 off is from a refer yourself code. (edited)
  37. Avatar
I don't get it. My order has been placed, but stuck in "Awaiting payment" stage and won't accept any of my payment methods. Tried, PC and the app and different browsers, different cards to no avail. Keeps looping back to "checkout-again"
  38. Avatar
How do I get this lower than £134. I've only got RAF £15 coupon & 2 points. Is it just luck if you get an extra coupon?
  39. Avatar
    Thanks
  40. Avatar
Is the camera decent on this phone. I am currently on an LG G7 and the camera is poor.
    Avatar
It's average, but fine considering the low current cost of £109 after all the discounts: hotukdeals.com/dea…988 - refer yourself from another account for the further £15 off & £109 price
You may be better off backing up the G7, factory resetting it, then installing the GCam port which could make a noticeable difference with the camera: forum.xda-developers.com/t/a…81/
    Finally, restore your backup.
