Is this the best price around at the moment ?

Were these coming up around the £100 mark recently or was that for a lower spec ? Looking to spend around the £100 mark , don't mind if its a few quid over though. Fine with a 3gb / 32gb version too

That was the lower spec, the 4gb has been sliglty cheaper.
Previous cheaper deal was only for the gold. On this deal you can get black for the same price - HOT
banggood.com/Xia…cts

This is the one I am looking at , slightly lower spec but can anyone tell me of this supports 4g through ee network ? Sorry if this is a dumb question , I've been following these posts for a Xiaomi Redmi note 4 and the topic was brought up a fair bit , also does this have OTA updates ?
Thanks in advance guys
Another thought - this phone is PRE-ORDER (Sept 30th). Maybe should be in title

So for just over £20 extra, this one or the Pre-order Xiaomi Mi A1 @ £157.81????

I would suggestion not to buy from banggood, as now the customs are charging amount getting from banggood. banggood would say they are not respossible for the taxes or customs amount.
Also the customer service is not at all good and they not even bother to respond for the issues

The Redmi Note 4X is basically the China market counterpart to the RN4 Global Version. That 3/16GB variant is exclusive to China. The lower model of RN4 Global Version is 3/32GB.

RN4X = Chinese packaging, U.S charger, no B20, Global ROM installed by Banggood (unsealed)
RN4 Global Version = English packaging, E.U charger, has B20, Global ROM factory pre-installed (sealed)

The Note 4X will still work on EE without B20 and Banggood mentions OTA updates in the description, which implies official ROM. The current prices for RN4 Global Version 3/32GB are higher than normal, although they've been around £100-110 or lower in the past. I'd suggest waiting and getting one of those instead.

I'm torn between the two. The A1 has stock android and a couple of technical tweaks, but likely worse battery life. I'm going to wait some more.
I really want to buy this and have been waiting for such a low price. However, the Redmi Note 5 is just a few weeks away, and will come with a slightly better spec, but more importantly a better camera. I think I might have to wait it out! Heat anyway though, great deal.

Is that not going to be more expensive though or is it more likely the note 4 will become even cheaper once the note 5 is out ?
Great phone. Would recommend

For sure it will be more expensive - I'm guessing closer to £180, but you never know, they could surprise us. The Note 4 will probably go down a little bit in price, but if you really want the Note 4, I'd say go for it now!
Have this phone for few months since May. Absolutely best value phone, the best part of it is the SD625 CPU. It is very efficient in term of battery usage and performance is lag free (although not blazingly fast compare to high-end phone).
The battery is seldom dropped below 60% after a day usage. And so far it never get hot no matter how hard you push its limit. So for average person not chasing the top tier smartphone, I would say this is the best mid-range smartphone for 2017.
waiting for the 32g to come back in stock, got one for £105(not del yet) and ordered an other form Gearbest only for them to refund me as oos, now they are awaiting arrival, just depends if they are on sale again

may take a plunge on the 64gb if no other deals arrive

Recent leaks/rumours suggest it will have a Mediatek Helio P25 which has around the same Antutu score as the SD625 but many people would consider Mediatek in general to be inferior to Snapdragon. However, there's always speculation for next version of Xiaomi phones and RN5 has been discussed/expected for a long time<. If the recent Helio P25 leaks are true, it might follow the same release pattern of the Redmi Note 3 & 4 which were both originally released as Mediatek, then as an updated Snapdragon variant at a later date (which then got a B20 version after this). It could be a quite a while before the direct successor to this particular RN4 variant is released. Previous release dates were RN3 MTK - Nov 2015, RN3 SD - Feb 2016, RN4 MTK - Aug 2016, RN4 SD - Jan 2017 so RN5 being a few weeks away sounds plausible but there has been no solid info from reliable sources so it's still anyone's guess. For now, the release date is just expectation/prediction and the specs are speculation.
Took the plunge and bought it. Bn pondering for a while. Not the cheapest I've seen it but knocked another fiver off by paying in USD using no fee credit card! Thanks OP
anyone got a code for the black 32gb version that is in stock atm? it's on for about £129 but seen some codes over the last few days bringing them down closer to £100, where do these codes come from and how do members find them when posting deals?

Yeah I heard that downloading a certain camera app and changing a couple of settings sorts it out. But it is rumoured that the Redmi Note 5 has a dual camera on the back, which should surely be a decent improvement.

My comment was just my own assumptions due to previous trends but they might not follow it. The RN3 MTK was released like 3 or 4 months after RN2 and used the same processor which I doubt people would have predicted. Also the RN4 SD uses a weaker processor to the RN3 SD, despite being speculated beforehand to come with SD660, so speculation/expectations don't always hold true. Have to wait and see

Certainly not in terms of battery life. Generally would prefer SD over MT.

Not forgetting Xiaomi over LEAGOO any day of the week... But that is very cheap!

Bit the bullet ...... £131.47 paying by Halifax Clarity Credit Card (section 75 protection included) less possible £7.93 from TCB so should work out to £123.54 all in.

Now to order case / tempered glass screen protector . Anyone have any recommendations ? I heard you need to get a full screen protector complete with the coloured bits on them to avoid ghosting issues around the edges , can anyone confirm ?

Because of the 2.5d edge curve, any clear screen protectors that go near the edge will have the halo/ghosting issue, hence coloured border type ones are suggested since the border covers it. Many of the clear type ones won't cover the entire front face because of the issue and they'll look more like this<. When getting cases/screen protectors look for "Redmi Note 4X" or ones that specifically say "Redmi Note 4 Global Version". See here for more info<. Because of the differences, if you get a coloured border screen protector and it's for the original Redmi Note 4, it will look like this<.

Do let us know how you got on with this , my phone isn't expected for a couple of weeks probably but its one of the first things I want to do.
Also if you have any tips on possible settings or anything as I'm pretty useless when it comes to phones !

thanks
Note that many on here are seeing customs fees for products bought via Banggood now.
just been told stock isn't expected for another 2-3 weeks before it's even dispatched, I thought I'd placed the order while it was in stock so that along with possible customs fees I'm going to cancel order
