I've just posted a deal for the Note 4, but if you want something even cheaper, then this might fit your needs. Available in black and grey, white and gold and white and rose gold.

2GB RAM will be OK, 16GB storage is a bit stingy I guess. But it's still a great price for a budget phone, particularly someone who prefers a larger screen (albeit with 720p resolution). Dual sim is very useful, particularly for travel.

Main Features:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A 4G Phablet Global Version 5.5 inch MIUI 8 and above Snapdragon 425 Quad Core 1.4GHz 2GB RAM 16GB ROM 13.0MP Rear Camera A-GPS
Display: 5.5 inch 1280 x 720 pixels screen
CPU: Snapdragon 425 Quad Core 1.4GHz
System: MIUI 8 and above
Storage: 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM
Cameras:front 5.0MP + rear 13.0MP with AF and flash light
Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, E-Compass, Gravity Sensor, Gyroscope, Infrared Radiation, Proximity Sensor
Features: GPS, Glonass, Beidou, A-GPS
Bluetooth: 4.2
SIM Card: dual SIM dual standby, 2 Nano SIM cards and 1 TF card can be inserted at the same time
Networks:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: B1/B2/B5/B8
FDD-LTE: B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20
TDD-LTE: B38/B40

Now entering the 4th week of a dispute with gearc rap whereby they have made proven false claims about despatch...avoid them like the plague... also allegedly hacked and info including payment details taken (did see one claim that it was an inside job)

As regards the phone, cheaper elsewhere and not particularly brilliant anyway, have a look at ulefone''s alternative
Given GearBest's recently hacked customer database and generally poor online security, probably safest to pay by Paypal.

I see you can check out with Paypal, has Paypal been hacked? If it was I'm sure it would be front page news, I have checked the Daily Mail website and there is nothing about it!

A family member bought the Power Pack from GearBest - was able to track it via a third party website tracking service - it took the best part of 3 months to be delivered! Never again. I've only every bought from AliExpress and have had zero problems whatsoever.

Voted hot

I got a phone from Gearbest in one week time when I was expecting it in 3 weeks . I think they are very good when sending phones. But if you buy a £ 0.01 item on the website , the free delivery takes one month like all other Chinese goods I buy on eBay. That is why never buy anything from China in hurry.

Good advice. I always pay by PayPal just in case.

BTW, Gearbest are claiming that it wasn't them that was hacked:

I don't believe it, I actually agree with Sam. It really is the most wonderful time of the year..

Agree

The best bit about the 1p items is that I forget all about them for months and then get a surprise when they actually show up
If you order this from the EU warehouse (more expensive) then you can get it expedited delivery for the same price (FREE) as normal delivery

Definitely not one of Xiaomi's better phones. Small battery in comparison to the Redmi Note 4x.
A Gearbest deal with only 1 positive comment about Gearbest and it's from sam_of_london

Either Barry Allen messed up the timeline or I must be on another Earth

If you click "Hidden Content (Ignored User)", you should be able to read his comment. I've had him muted for a long time but it's counter intuitive as it highlights the comments and tempts you to read them even more

OK, I'll even things out. Received my Mi Note 3 from Gearbest today. Factory sealed box, 3 weeks from ordering to delivery, with no charges. Oh aye.

Lol! Great minds think alike! He's a headwrecker.
I've been using Gearbest for the best part of 2 years and have spent close to £1000 buying all sorts of items. From penny items through to phones, and I'm yet to have an issue with them. I have a certain expectation of Chinese products and customer service that when I click that buy button I know there is a chance it could go wrong. One should always be conscious of this. If you're going to make a valuable purchase then use PayPal, pay for the insurance, pay for tracking - if anything does go wrong then you are covered. Having bought items online from China for close to 16 years this beef I hear from people about Chinese vendors I can't help but put down to ignorance and misplaced expectation.
