Good post. It's about time we had some good news re hospital parking. Would be better if it was free.
should be free for parents of the kids.
Ridiculous! All hospital parking in Wales is free, as it should be!

I am not sure of the discount per hour but our parking for 4+ was £10 (£5.50 instead of £15).

Ice Cold like previous comments it should be free full stop
Tax on the sick - not cool.
Should be free - nationalise the hospital car parks again!!

Bring on Corbyn!!
How can a hospital charge so much in the first place??? If you have a sick child and are there every day that is a lot of money Voting cold because it's a con
Something is most definitely wrong, when the cost to park your car for an hour, is more than the minimum wage an hour Even worse when its at a childrens hospital !

Quite agree that it should be free ... the point of the post though is that if you have to visit the hospital there is reduced parking available. It was more about share a reduction and information. Sorry that you missed the point.
This is a bit like borough council's fining people left right and centre to raise revenue. Ultimately though it's the government's fault for underfunding the NHS which they promised they would protect

Agree completely that parking should be free for parents of children who are in hospital. The parking charges are ridiculous, and significant to many. But as it isn’t free, I have voted hot as it will hopefully benefit those who need to visit.
From experinece of having had my child at this hospital recently, the hospital is in such a place that they do not have their own Parking facility so it either park on privately run multi storey car parks behind the hospital, one of which gives a discount once you show your letter at the hospital. There is council run parking outside on the street however payable and only short stay, but other than this it's not far from the main city centre.
Wales equals free parking free prescriptions free university's and the Welsh are backwards ???????????

How is this person's pic allowed btw ?
If it was free then anyone would park there all day - for free , taking up spaces for those who need to use the hospital .
As previous poster said , you can get your car parking ticket validated for a discount at the main reception , and also when my granddaughter was in here indefinitely back in September , we were given a bunch of 24 hr prepaid tickets for free .
It’s not the hospitals fault as the car park isn’t owned by them .
Oh how nice of them! Gotta love capitalism

It’s in the centre of Birmingham. The hospital does not have parking at all for staff or visitors. So free parking here is not an option.
