I don't know if this is a great deal, I searched on my phone for a cheaper price but this seemed good. Sorry about the pic quality.

(Works with Alexa and Google Assistant, B22 Bayonet Adapter Included, No Hub Required), Dimmable White2898676.jpg

Nice find @redwing5 - been after one of these for ages!

Will check my local store tomorrow, thanks for sharing
Agreed, will check purley way sainsburys on Saturday (my local). I could do with this kind of bulb
Cheap by TP-Link standards, and if you've not got a Zigbee/Z-Wave controller of some sort it's not bad. But £12-15 a bulb for the likes of Hue/Hive/Tradfri is becoming more and more common, so in that context it's not great.

But for this product itself, heat.

Yeah I'm Hue at home, but one of these would be perfect to hook up at my nan's house or the folks' place at £18. With "Home Assistant", pretty sure I could even have motion detection on the CCTV trigger it.

They don't need a Hue Hub deployment for a single bulb.

You could also consider a smart plug connected to a lamp if you've got a spare one knocking around (I've been looking for uses for the smart plugs I was using for Christmas lights.)
They were £20 in Sainsburys just after Xmas and that was the cheapest I've seen. Got one then and it works well but with the bayonet adapter attached it is quite big.
IKEA Tradfri dimmer kit is cheaper at £15 (and works without a hub) but I found the battery life in the dimmer to be very poor.
EXCELLENT price on the only bulb out there you don't need a damned hub to use

I got one on ebay for about this price, and now wish I'd bought more!

works great with google home mini
lights on/off
dim lights (hey google, play barry white and dim the lights - works a treat )
make lights brighter

using IFTTT I set it to turn on in case my nest protect detected smoke or carbon monoxide

can't say enough good things about TPlink, their kasa app, the HS110 smartplugs, the LB110 smart bulbs. I just wish that their kasa cam was already available in the UK - US only for now, and according to a review don't buy it from amazon.com because even if you get it in the UK it won't work yet for some reason (region restriction?)

IMO LB100 that doesn't dim wasn't good enough, LB120 that 'tunes' the white colour wasn't a useful/necessary feature to me, and LB130 that changes colour also wasn't useful
