5% off Sitewide, and the mi 9 at £334 seems the standout, as they are now offering local warranty, haven't looked at details yet, but sounds promising, no doubt the rest of the items will still be one year standard.

Voted hot for Mi 9
Has the Mi A3 been officially launched yet?? Don't forget the £5.99 off for giving them your email address.

No it hasn't.
Although the leaked pictures, show the A3 is basically the less powerful cc9e with a upgraded screen apparently.
Maybe they are doing a A3 Pro with the 710 from the CC9.

The £5.99 offer will override this offer, they don't stack.

Not yet, but it seems to be the worst secret of recent times.

I'm waiting for a 128GB ROM and will see what they charge. £177 for this isn't bad at all, but it's Note 7 territory for spec at a premium price comparison.

Not quite - you sneakily post multiple items garnering heat, because at least one item is decent.

SLY.
But heat.
It's a struggle to keep up with the models of Xiaomi, unless you are @Mrswitch.
What's the best phone available? For a budget of up to £250.
Appreciate any help

Stretch alittle and get the Mi 9T from aliexpress for just under £260.
Or add the extra £10 and get the mi 9T from here (don't forget topcashback!)
Has anyone used the local warranty? heard some horror stories on the net, so want some HDUKers to confirm all okay?

I struggle to grasp the Huawei, honor and Xiaomi models myself. I've gone galaxy s4 to s6 to s8. Now looking for an upgrade and likely heading to the s9+ as my budget is £350ish and I wouldn't mind a bigger screen but honestly all the other brands confuse me except maybe the pixels. Must be my old age
kamania15/07/2019 11:08

Thanks.Mi 9T, is it Android or MIUI?

Its MIUI.
All Xiaomi phones are MIUI apart from the Mi A series.
The Mi A3 will be coming "soon" but it only has a 665 processor (according to the recent image leak) instead of the 730 from the 9T. Significantly cheaper though as Android One phones are heavily discounted.

I am currently using A1 and waiting for A3 but it's taking a while.
Might go for 9T, as you mentioned has a better processor and better screen as well I think.

Better processor and no notch.
MIUI isn't so bad, it used to be terrible, but recent versions are good.
There may be a A3 Pro or something with the 710 (CC9 rebranded) but its not going to be for a good while yet.

In my opinion no, definitely not
A3 has everything for a mid range phone and then it sprouts a 720p and a 286dpi screen? That is a monumental step backwards

On the other hand, for the same price you can get a 6GB/64GB Mix 2. Better processor / more ram / better screen / no notch (I have the 128GB version). For that money there is NO comparison
I wouldn't bother with this phone now the notchless Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro are coming. I can't wait for them to get to the UK!
@Mrswitch Sorry to hijack a thread, I want to order a phone today to go on holiday in about 12 days. I was hoping for a Mi 9 to come down to around £260 but can't see one. I am probably going to hit the button on the eglobal deal for the mi 9t 128gb but is there anything else I should consider? Important things for me are camera, speed, nfc and thats about it for the key features, many thanks for any help given!! I thought about the Mix 3 on this thread but think the Mi 9t is probably better for me.

Biggest problem may be receiving it within the 12 days.

Is there nothing in the UK you have your eye on, to make sure you actually get it on time?

I did wonder that, but eglobal says 6 to 8 working days so I was hoping I would get it end of next week. Does anyone know if that would happen from them? I've never ordered from them before.

From previous uts took longer than that, I don't want you to get into a situation whereby the item is Oos, and takes forever and a day to come
mi 9t or mi mix 3?
I just received 9T from eGlobal which went blank dead after few hours. Getting customer support for that takes a lot of time and patience and understanding (being treated like frauster at best). Think twice about buying from them, they're HK based.
MrSwitch16/07/2019 15:07

Mix 3 for me personally

Why is that switchy? I went for the mi 9t in the end from eglobal, if it doesn't turn up in time it's not the end of the world. I want it more for the camera. I don't play games. Worried about the above post now though

The mix 3 is a flagship phone, with a better processor and camera than the 9t.
I'm hopeful the 9T is going to hit the £230 mark and lower on a lot of retailers soon. It's quite a markup from the R7N; admittedly it's warranted by the spec/feature jump (albeit sans microSD).

Defo worth the extra £80

It definitely is. That said, I don't think it's got quite the edge the Mi Mix 3 had despite the pop-up camera.

Aliexpress doesn't seem to be shifting many units of the 9T (K20/Pro) - which is why I think that price will potentially settle lower.

Ah yeah, the mix 3 is the superior phone

One thing I'd be wary of though is that pop-up mechanism. I've seen one report of a manufacturing defect; the mechanism was straining and not sitting flush. It's isolated but you don't know how fragile or tough that pop-up camera is.

This is why I'd be wary to pay extra for the larger storage or K20 Pro. The pricing is fairly modest (esp. by phone standards) but given the low price of flash memory, the climb through to 256GB is a lot of extra money for a handset that might go wrong if you're unlucky.

My current Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is widely known to have faulty touchpanels (at least on it's XDA subforum) so I lost a little faith in Xiaomi's manufacturing. It's the reason I want to get a new phone - since the panel freezes randomly and will often register input incorrectly. It's known of, not isolated and Xiaomi have never acknowledged or fixed it. Most complaints have just been buried on their MI forums.

They're inarguably leaders amongst China mobile phone manufacturers... but they don't always get it right. When they don't, it can be hard to get it fixed. That's why I'd never sink more than $300 into a Xiaomi handset.

My 128GB 9T arrived today from eGlobal. Ordered 22nd July 4.30pm, arrived 10am this morning via Hermes.

I know, right?

I also received emails to say it had dispatched, that it was with the courier and also one from the courier advising of the 2 hour time slot it was being delivered.

Sounds to me like eGlobal have upped their game.

It has a UK plug as well, 18w as well - happy days.

So HK version, even better. Yeah, they offer 2 year "local" warranty on some items now, though what that entails I've no idea.
