Cold.

I bought this for Xmas and within a few hard boxing sessions the body broke off from the leg making it unusable. To be fair, my punches were going in strong.. but even then..

Poor quality workmanship. Made in China. Better going for the top brands..

Kindest regards

Haha thats the problem, this isn't for heavy punching, this is for light sparring, moving on your feet around the bag, quick but light punches, not heavy knockout type punches. Thats what a 'heavy bag' is for lol

Presuming that you do not have the budget, room, &/or ability to hang a heavy bag either from a wall or from a ceiling, or even have a free-standing bracket/stand, I would recommend a Century Wavemaster.

I bought one 12-13 years ago via eBay after using them previously. The first owner of the Wavemaster I bought had only used it once & then gave up. I saved about 75% of the original purchase price buying this way.

You'll find a few variations listed on Amazon (UK).

Mine is the same as the blue XXL on the far right:

Theres nothing in the description that says it's not heavy duty.. so it's a flawed design.

They should state - "not suitable for heavy punches"..

I won't remove the additional bit..

Kind regards

Two things thst give away its not for heavy hits, the weights and the design. Free standing bags are usually for less heavy punches to work on speed and footwork and heavy bags for power and intense hiit cardio.

The consumer is not supposed to be double guessing the quality and integrity... So you shouldn't expect people to be tuned in to the so called 'give aways'...

Anyway, each to their own. Mine broke, maybe it was just my solid punches..

Any consumer by a Boxing bag should have an idea how to box and what different bags are used for..

They would break at medium punches.

Don't you damage your joints punching something regularly with force?

No, you should learn to punch properly and it shouldn't damage joints, punch lighter if you're worried!

No, your knuckles will stiffen up over time so that they're able to take any force.. within reason of course...

But technique is important to prevent injury.

Good deal
I bought one of the Gallant ones years ago, would definitely recommend one of them instead of this, they are around £60-£70 on amazon. You're just paying for the Reebox brand here and no one will even see it.

Right, but if I tried to race a Ferrari in my BMW I certainly wouldn't expect it to literally snap in half meaning that it couldn't even drive on a road any more. That you appear to be saying that you would is a little odd isn't it?

Bit of a silly example I used as its nothing is being hit against, again they are designed for different purposes, any boxer, from beginner to experienced should know that.

I don't punch but I do have arthritis in my hands so always willing to learn things from different experiences whatever they are that might be beneficial to my joints.

It's almost like they get used to the repeated high forces that you subject them to.. and over time are able to handle them..

In a similar way muscles tend to get bigger with increased loadbearing exercise...

Oh I see I would consult a Doctor and speak to them about it.

As for Firstofficers comment, he doesn't know anything about boxing as he was using a light spar bag as a heavy bag. So he probably doesn't punch correctly. Knuckles don't stiffen up, no joints should be damaged, unless you punch to hard and get boxers wrist, but, again thats usually from not punching correctly.

They dont stiffen. Knuckles can get harder, but not stiffen.
