Reebok ZR10 Treadmill extra £100 off now £399 at Argos

£399.99Argos Deals

Found 25th Dec 2013
This has previously been on sale for £499 but its now at £399 (which is the same price or cheaper than the lesser models).

ZR10 £399.99 (RRP £1199.99)
ZR9 £479.99 (RRP £1099.99)
ZR8 £449.99 (RRP £999.99)
ZR7 £399.99 (RRP £799.99)

By the way those RRP's a pretty phony, they're never sold anywhere near those prices. The ZR10 is usually around £600 (it was on sale at 500 at argos last week) so its an extra 100 off.

Edit: Sale Price until 31/01/2014

Very good price. I got the ZR9 for same price last year before Christmas.

Yeah I think its very good (surprised its not getting a hotter score). I saw it for £499 last week at argos and I was going to buy it as I thought that was a bargain, so I'll be definitely getting it now for £399!

14 day delivery wait though

Thanks for posting op - heat added

Purchased this morning, good price for something originally £1200.

Original Poster

I've just seen argos advertise it during a Sky Sports News break so they'll probably go like hot cake now.

Its strange how they have the ZR10 cheaper than the ZR9, ZR8. It doesnt even make any sense, unless they have an abundance of ZR10 stock.. I actually thought it was a rick at first.

Thanks op, just ordered.

Said they would phone me by 6/1/14 to arrange delivery

Original Poster

Yeah I ordered mine earlier too. Got the same message. I didnt bother with the mat though, I'm sure I can find something better/cheaper elsewhere.

Its my christmas present

Oos

Thanks op, ordered. Delivery is within 28 days now though and not 7 days as advertised.

I had a phone call yesterday and they are delivering on mon 30/12.

now i will need to start from the first

Said oos on boxing day when I phoned - tried placing it on-line and order went through and said within 28 days. Phone call later same day to say delivery for the 30th Dec. Good stuff.

Got one of these this morning and was just about to post it. Heat added.

Original Poster

I got a call yesterday as well to say its coming on 30th.

Theres a video on youtube of the ZR8 which gives you an idea what this will be like.

Is this out of stock?

It says available for delivery in 7 days but it will not take any post code.
I managed to add the deal to my basket and remove the £29 mat but then it reports the running machine as not available for delivery?
Tried Chrome and Firefox...

just tried IE not in stock for West London ... This offer is good to the end of Jan so maybe new stock will come in...

I did think they'd sell out as its not the type of equipment that you'd have 100's in stock of. But they've obviously got a deal with Reebok so I guess they'll just put an order in for more.

On the argos website it says the deal runs until 30/01/14 (subject to stock) so its just a case of keep trying over the next few weeks.

Very tempted. Anyone know how this compares to the ZR11? John Lewis have the ZR11 reduced to clear at £499, but no stock at the moment. No idea if they are getting anymore.

Original Poster

I knew there was a ZR11 but they only go up to ZR10 at argos.

When I checked through the spec differences between ZR7/8/9/10 the main thing seemed to just be that

Elevation angle gets better with each model (ZR7 2 degrees - ZR10 15 degrees)
More programmes and savable programs with each model
Running map is *slightly* bigger on each model
Top speed increases with each model (ZR7 13kph - ZR10 18kph
Each model is heavier (ZR7 57kg through to ZR10 85kg) so each model up is more "beefier"

Just looked at the ZR11 specs on John Lewis and that looks a "Step up" once again. MUCH more beefier at 115kg, 18kph top speed. I'd say its probably worth the extra 100 (cant find it cheaper than 800 anywhere) but of course its not in stock so might have to wait and see with that one.

Nice work. I have read very positive reviews of the ZR11, and at that price it looks a bargain. However, I haven't been actively looking for a while, so it may have been at that price for ages at JL, and maybe they have no intentions of getting any new stock. The thing that is drawing me to this 'ZR' range is the quietness, as I live in a ground-floor flat, so need one that isn't too noisy.

There is an interesting thread over at OverClockersUK where somebody asks for advice regarding the ZR10. The responses are less than favourable. However, none are responses from people that have actually used them, suggesting that they must be crap if Argos sell them

"the only thing i would touch from reebok is a skipping rope at best."

lol to be fair they're probably right, and im sure if you went on more nerdy forums like bodybuilders forum they'd probably rip them to pieces.

If we all had 2 grand available im sure we'd all get a proper beast of a machine like the ones in the gym. Im just after something to run on for maybe 20 mins a day that isnt flmisy. I last had one which I paid about 200 for and flimsy. Manual elevation, basic controls, not very fast, incredibly small running surface (you had to look down to make sure you stayed on the track!).

I think the ZR8/9/10/11 and all more than enough for average home runner. The ZR7 seems flimsy with manual elevation.

As I said at the top I dont think any of the Reebok models are worth anywhere near the RRP prices (the manufacturers can just set that where-ever they want) but i certainly think this is worth it for 400quid (and the ZR11 for 500) if you can get them. Probably 100-200 quid off what I would consider normal sold price for them.

Original Poster

theres a review of the ZR8 on youtube and the guy speaks highly enough of that (and paid 500 quid for it) so im happy enough with the ZR10 for 400 knowing its a little bit better/bigger

Well, I have one in my basket at Argos now, it would not comply earlier quoting something about "unable to check stock at this point...". I have just phoned John Lewis (the store ); there are 2 in stock nationally (one in Glasgow, and one somewhere else I couldn't quite make out). There are none in stock online. She also confirmed that they have no outstanding orders to acquire more stock, so it is unlikely they will be continuing this line, not definitely, but probably.

So, the ZR10 at £399 is looking pretty good...

Oh well, bit the bullet now Thanks OP.

Just Ordered the ZR10 from Argos site working now went via TopCashback so 4.2% off.
Had to pay £8 odd delivery at Argos.

The ZR10 has a 45cm track the ZR11 has a 50cm wide track

According to the "comparative" tab here
http://www.fitnessdigital.co.uk/reebok-zr11-treadmill/p/10003711/

Also on Amazon it reports a 2.5HP motor vs the 2HP motor of the ZR10
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reebok-ZR11-Treadmill-Color-White/dp/B00BXGW35K

Was £600 via third party sellers according to CamelCamelCamel

found a video (albeit in German) of the ZR10. Shows an up close of the control panel and he moves the incline up and moves the speed about.
Looks a good bit of kit for the price.

Also found one on Gumtree, bought for £795, only used 10 times and now selling for £500

Ordered have been looking for one and this seems to tick all the boxes

Good stuff guys. The CamelCamel comparison is just Amazon based, but still a useful guide. Personally, I would have paid £200 extra for the ZR11, but, such is life.

I would definitely recommend an extended warranty (on this or any treadmill). I have a nordic one and its a nightmare to find someone to fix it at a decent price.

Went for one of these too, seems quidco have 4% cashback on sports and leisure.

I am still deliberating as to whether to pay more for a better one. I have ordered one, but under the DSR, have 7 working days in which to cancel my order.

These make great clothes trees after January...

Well FWIW i think the ZR11 for 500 is a better deal than the ZR10 for 400. The step up in build quality and motor power is worth at least another 200 quid. I would have got it if Argos had it in stock. Still I'll survive with the 10.

Agree. However, I don't think the product is going to come back in stock at JL.The ZR11 is £879 at Sweatband, so the ZR10 for £399 is hard to beat.

I missed the delivery today at 7:30, I slept in. Maybe I slept in on purpose

Got mine today, came at the time they said they would and shipped it into the garage. Cleared a space but it wasn't big enough, this thing is huge! Box says 97KG!!
Easy enough to set up and very happy with my purchase
