How good are the professors on these?

bit hopeless I would expect; too much talking about abstract theories....

however processor will be ok for most stuff but not good for games, graphics rendering, very large excel spreadhseets etc. These laptops are really all about portability & decent (in theory battery life).

Actually, the processor's more than adequate and with the SSD and 8GB RAM should be able to handle large spreadsheets and multiple browser tabs. hotukdeals.com/dea…e=2 This was the original deal and it's got some pretty good feedback from people who have purchased it. HTHs

    If you mean this: hotukdeals.com/dea…646

then go for the HP if you want gaming performance. If you want something portable and cheaper then this one. Both will be able to handle browsing with multiple tabs, office, streaming pretty effortlessly.
Very nice. No power supply - any idea on costs for that?

Pointless question as it makes little sense without context. However giving you the benefit of the doubt, this is a lightweight laptop with potentially decent battery life, the Omen is a gaming laptop and for a different purpose in comparison to this one. The question you should have asked would include the purpose for which you want a laptop for and then that would enable people to help you decide.
    Still available in black.
